@Natasha

(Lol)
(Tttyyyyy where are you)
Tara nodded as Emerald swam around the two. "He seems way happier today then he has in a while."
(Sorry I was at work and then I was watching the magic school bus…)
"That's good! Isn't it?"
(I LOVE The Magic Schoolbus! Don't judge me I like a lot of 'kids' shows okay? I'm still pretty young, I have a right to it.)
Tara nodded. "It's really good."
(I'm like 17… I like it but I'm watching with my 9 year old brother)
(These stupid social standards…….I hate them)
(Please let this be a normal field trip!)
"Did he have trouble adjusting to the new tail?"
(With the Frizz? No way!)
Tara nodded sadly. "It was a really difficult transfer. Luckily he's a fighter."
(Lol)
"Have you guys ever had any other rescue animals like him?"
Tara nodded. "A few. Blitzen, Squeaker, Diamond, and……I think there was one more…….umm……it was………oh yeah Tula. Tula was one of my first rescues."
"All dolphins or different?"
"Those we all dolphins, but we've had a few sharks too. Trickshot, one of the boys in the staff named him, Tar, Heavy, and Reena. An nd there were two turtles that lost one of their flippers. Speedo and Flippy."
Darren nodded in understanding, "Interesting,"
"Most of them for caught in fishing nets or lobster traps." Tara finished. Then she looked down at her watch. "Uh oh. Oohhh boy, I'm going to be sooooo late!" Tara exclaimed as she swam to the edge of the pool.
Darren followed her, "Late for what?"
"I have to pick my little sister up from school like…..fifteen minutes ago!" Tara replied as she got out.
Darren got out after her, "Oh, your sister," he rubbed his hands through his wet hair, "Do you need anything?"
"Uh….a ride?" I kinda let another staff member borrow my car to go see her grandpa in the hospital. "
"Sweet, I can do that," Darren laughed, "After you," he gestured.
Tara grabbed her leather jacket and threw it on quickly, slipping into her tennis shoes. "Man I can't believe I did it again…" She muttered under her breath with an amused smile as she ran out the door. "Thanks Darren. I owe you one." She said to Darren.
"Aww, no. Don't mention it," He laughed as he slid his own shoes on and walked out to the car.
Tara laughed with him. "Yeah, umm…..my mom has cancer and is currently in the hospital, so I've kinda had to take full responsibility of my sister." She said as she followed Darren to his car.
"I'm sorry to hear that, do you mind if I ask what kind of cancer?"
"Brian cancer." Tara said as she pushed a lock of wet hair behind her ear.
Darren got in the car, "My mom had brain cancer too, Oligodendroglioma." He said as he started the car.
Tara nodded as she got in the other side. "It's hard to watch her like this…..helpless to help her. And…." Tara sighed. "Sara can't lose mom. She already grew up with one parent. I don't want her to go through the same thing I did." Tara said, shaking her head.
Darren chose not to ask about the other parent. "My advice… Make sure you're there for both of them but you can't forget about yourself… You don't have to be strong all the time,"
Tara gave a light smile. "Good advice. I should probably listen. If my mom finds out how much sleep I've lost the past few months she'd probably freak out."
