The Doctor was playing guitar when he heard Bill. He stuck his head out, “Ah, the essay.” He said.
The Doctor was playing guitar when he heard Bill. He stuck his head out, “Ah, the essay.” He said.
"Erm, yeah. Are you playing the guitar?"
(Off topic but I found this and it's brilliant)
(Ahaha, I’ve seen it and yes it is brilliant, fantastic even ;) )
“Why yes.” He strummed a few chords.
"You're actually very good at it. Have you ever been in a band or something?"
“Not that I remember..”
"Well you could be in a band. Speaking of, have you ever seen any really good bands? I think you must have, you travel so much." (Cue the adventure through time and space)
“Well, I did see The Beatles play once, but there’s this particularly good band started by my potato friend, Strax… I never new he could play. I believe he is playing somewhere right now,” He placed his guitar down and entered the TARDIS, “Aren’t you coming?”
"Oh, yeah. Potato friend?" Bill asked.
“Sontaran, they look like potato’s.” He said closing the TARDIS door behind Bill and walking over to the console.
Bill pictured a potato with legs and snorted at the mental image.
“Granted they aren’t actually a potato but they do look close to it.” He grinned and placed into the coordinates.
"Oh."
“Ah, you thought they were actual potatoes. Sorry to disappoint you.”
"What? No, I had just…. wait, are you secretly able to read minds?"
“Aha, no Bill. From the look on your face I could tell what you were thinking though.” He said, flicking some switches.
"Bet you must see a lot of faces."
He thought for a moment, “Yes, many faces.”
"So, what time period does your "Potato Friend" live in?" she asked. "I've gotten used to asking that question." she added in a voice quiet enough so The Doctor hopefully wouldn't hear.
“Ah, last I heard he was in the 43rd century.”
"Oh. The future. Cool."
“Yes! But the 43rd century can be a strange place. Don’t accept anything unless I’ve said you can, got it?”
"Yes, I know the drill."
“Good.” He said and landed. He threw open the doors, “Earth, 43rd century. Humans have made peace with a few alien races and have made a thriving planet. Pretty amazing.”
Bill stepped out and looked at all the brilliant lights, there was so much style and diversity here. It was like that time when she had visited New York, but more futuristic. It was like it had come out of a sci fi novel.
“Ah look, the markets!” He pointed and started to walk over to them,” Wonderful place,”
"If the future is like this, so amazing, why do you always come to 21st century Earth? Vault aside, I mean."
“Because the 21st century is a simpler time, and it’s always the time when other aliens invade.”
"I don't remember any invasions."
The Doctor stopped, “None? At all?!”
