Zora moved to the side to give them some space.

Evaline sat down in the middle of her kids and pulled them both close to her. "Once there was a wise king named Alexander. He ruled his land, Fairytopia(Don't judge me ok it was the first thing that came to mind.) with a wise and steady hand. One day one of his subjects came to him, telling him that invaders had sneaked into the land and were destroying everything in their path. The king went out and captured the invaders and put them in prison." She began in an upbeat and storytelling voice, attempting to get her children's attention.
Zora looked at Evaline and listened to the story, resting her head on her mother's shoulder.
Lennox listened intently, flinching at thunder but remaining silent. He pet Phos, who seemed to be pretty content to just lay in Lennox's lap and sleep. The storm didn't startle the cat in the slightest.
(Gtg again,brb)
She darted out the door, walking around the garden to find a way out
(oki den)
Also do you know if @TurtleOfFreedom is joining or nah? I thought they were but they never said who they wanted to be
//I am joining lol sorry I had to go
Or I was….
Is there still room?
(Yep! Technically there's two empty spots, but I said it was one bc I assumed you were joining. The two available characters rn are the king and the eldest son)
//I can be the eldest son
//if that’s ok
(Yep! Sounds good ^^)
(Back)
(yay!)
(Gaahhh this is just so cute! My feels–I can't)
"Several of the king's subjects and advisors told the king to kill the invaders, but the king wouldn't do it. He knew that the invaders had the potential to be good, so he set them free and had them work for him. Every single one of the invaders were amazed by the king's great mercy and love. They all worked under him faithfully, and stood by him in times of hardship and need. Because of his mercy and wisdom, the king earned a great friendship with these invaders, and because of the invaders' great respect and love of the king they were able to save the kingdom from a lot of hardships." Evaline smiled fondly at her children. "The moral of the story is this: Having mercy over those who have wronged you is not weakness, but a strong point. One of the most important qualities in a leader is mercy."
(Name: Jonethean Cambridge (Jone or John)
Age: 17
Role: Eldest Son
Appearance: naturally messy brown hair that he styles, cognac eyes, light freckles, pretty tan skin I guess
Personality: kind and stuff but he does have a temper; however, it usually only surfaces when he’s really very mad
Flaws: see above
Talents: sparring, reading)
(So did you like my story? I made it up on the spot.)
(@Turtle I don't think your character could be the eldest son at that age…….
He's older than his mother……….)
((That story was BEAUTIFUL))
(Yeah that's a bit problematic lol. And with the age of the eldest daughter, the mother would've been 18 when she had her and that's already very young for a child XD although royalty does have a tendency to marry earlier and stuff so idk)

(Thank you! I really like stories with morals. Especially stories that revolve around mercy or forgiveness or love……..and so on)
Phos pawed at Evaline's arm, meowing softly to get her attention. Once he did, he drew attention to the fact that Lennox had fallen asleep and his head was laying against Evaline's shoulder.

(I changed Evaline's age to 36, so she would have been twenty when she had the eldest daughter.)
(Ah, okay)
Evaline laughed softly and picked Lennox and Phos up. "Get some sleep Zora darling." She whispered, gently kissing Zora on the forehead.
(Can i join?)
Zora nodded as she stood up and flopped down on her bed.
Matilda smirked as she finally slipped out, red locks flying behind her as she ran to the village
(Yep! Guess you're the king, then?)
