She laid her head on his shoulder, not saying a word. What was there to say?
āI didnāt wake you up right?ā
"I was never asleep."
The kidnappers were already there, or rather demon hunters. Lillian was hidden in the back crying silently, and the familiar face of Rachel stood amongst them. It was her plan to use Lillian as bate to lure them here. Looks like it worked.
āRachel. Give us Lillian and no one will get hurt,ā Darren demanded it respectfully.
"I was never asleep."
āOh.ā Ryan hadnāt looked at her, āOkay,ā he continued to stare at the wall emotionlessly.
All the emotion in the room seemed to have been sucked out, leaving her as a blank monotone plastic doll. I'm going to suffocate like this. Iā¦can'tā¦breathe! I'mā¦choking!
Rachel looked to Darren with a slightly smug smile, āItās a bit too late for that.ā
Lillian was pushed out to the front but held back by Rachel holding her hair. Her body was black, blue, and covered in cuts that were bleeding. Rachel had had her fun with her.
Balthazar growled not hesitating a second for Darren to continue his begging. Shaxx followed his lead, āWhat do you want?ā
Rachel twirled the blade in her hand, āOh nothing much. Just your demonic powers, or your lives. Iāll leave that choice up to you boys.ā

Ryanās face was blank. Robotic. No emotions. There was nothing inside either. He thought hard about the dream and felt nothing. Until the only thing left in his eyes were grey. The harder he thought the greyer they got until the faded blue was gone.
Her own color faded to the same grey. She felt completely still, but not in a good way. Oh my heavens make it stop. The silenceā¦oh god the silenceā¦
Balthazar held an energy ball and Shaxx a fireball they flared angrily. Cooper was a loyal member of the brotherhood, the only rule he broke was the truss with Belle and no one knew about that. Darren on the other hand was a runaway, an outlaw, he abandoned the brotherhood to be human and now he was dying of a human disease. Darren and Balthazar hardly valued their life but theyād fight for Lillianās.

Ryan fought not to flip the switch, this couldnāt happen, not again. Last time it was all over the news. An entire county in parell from one person. Ryan stood up and paced the room, Keep the switch onā¦..
Rachel glanced up as her blade hung by Lillianās neck. A slight pressure caused a cut to form and the blood to start welling. Lillian let out a whimper as Rachel said āDo you really think thatās your best option here?ā
Her vision was faded and blurry, a small voice in her head saying to let her out. Noooo no no no no no. you saw what happened last time and do I even need to mention the time before that? Keep her away. Don't let her out. Keep the cage locked.
Balthazar walked to Rachel slowly and turned, Darren stared at her with sad eyes. He kneeled in front of her, āI may be the prince of darkness but you canāt kill her. Killing her would be the end of me anyways and I donāt have much more of a human life left.ā Darren looked at Rachel, it was apparent how sickly he looked even in low light. āTake me,ā
The blue flooded back to Ryanās eyes, āIām gonna go find Cooper,ā
Her eye flickered back to its normal green. "Hmm? Alright."
Rachel dropped Lillian and smiled with a slight joy, āGladly. Killing one demon prince is great two would be better though.ā
She said with wiry glance to Shaxx.
āSheās not even worried about why. Nor what Iām going to do when I find him?ā He wasnāt talking to Belle but she could hear him.
"Well I figured I could trust you without having to ask that. Are you saying I shouldn't trust you?"
Shaxx pulled Lillian into his arms. He didnāt take his eyes off of Darren as if Darren had a plan to escape. It became clear he didnāt.
21054 shrugged and walked down the stairs.
She sighed. "He never answered my question." She mumbled. Now she was worried. Should she really trust him?
(No. No she should not trust him)
Rachel was beaming, āDoes that mean I get to kill you too?ā
Lillian was shaking in his arms. Even if it wasnāt Bal or Darren she was glad for the familiarity.
Shaxx didnāt respond, he held Lillian as close as he could without crushing her or her wounds.
Darren looked up at her, āAre you going to do this or not?ā
(Kill Darebear. I have a plan)
21054 looked around the house absently. He tried to locate Cooper mentally.
(Got it.)
Rachel shrugged, āOf course.ā
She plunged the dagger down into his cheat deep into his heart. She was grinning wildly.
Lillian felt a tear slip down past the blindfold. Did she-Did she kill him?
