"Two birds with one stone," Ryan grinned, "I have to as well," His smile turned mischevious.
"Two birds with one stone," Ryan grinned, "I have to as well," His smile turned mischevious.
She knew exactly what he was thinking. "I'm not going to even acknowledge that."
Ryan sighed, "You're just gonna shut me down right away… You won't even consider it?" he slid his pants on.
"Hmm, I don't know. Should I consider it?"
"You should consider it!" Ryan laughed.
Cooper held the phone in his hands, her number dialed in, his finger hovering over the button. Knotts formed in his stomach. She hates you! Why do you try?
She was tempted to push him back into the water. "You think so? Fine then, I will. But you'll just have to wait and see what I decide."
Ryan grinned, "I guess I will!"
Cooper finally hit the button, with every ring he grew tenser. No going back now.
Her phone rang and she picked up. "Hello?"
Cooper felt better when he heard her voice but still shaky, "Umm, hey, is now a bad time?"
"No, it's fine. What's going on Coop?"
"Sorry to bother you. I was thinking and I don't want to end up like those exes who say they'll be friends and then hate each other." He took a deep breath, basically just sounded like an awkward pause, "Do you wanna hang out sometime?"
"Yeah! That sounds great!" It'd be just like the old days. Just the two of them doing something weird because they were always doing something weird.
Coop let out a breath that he had been holding in, "Okay! Great! W-When are you f-free?" Don't get nervous now.
She laughed. "Honey I'm free every day. But how about next Wednesday? Does that sound good?"
"Yeah, W-Wednesday," Cooper was elated. "See you then,"
"Bye Coop!" She hung up. "Phew. That took more energy then I thought I had."
Ryan chuckled, "If you didn't want to go, why didn't you just tell him no?"
"But I do want to go! I'm just tired from today." She giggled.
"Understood," Ryan said without a hint of jealousy in his voice… he even surprised himself.
She smiled. "Come on. Let's go home, my hair is starting to dry and trying to wash hair that's been stiffened into a braid is a pain in the ass."
Ryan laughed and walked to the motorcycle.
(They rode home because I have a new found anxiety towards these car ride things)
Ryan stood in the entryway looking at Belle expectantly, his eyes demanding and answer.
She started to walk up the stairs, pausing with her hand on the railing, looking back at him. "Well, are you coming or not?"
Ryan's smile returned as he trailed after her.
She was humming a small tune, taking out her braid and combing through as best she could as she walked into the bathroom.
Ryan smiled at her, "You're not just messing with me right? Because that would be a little cruel,"
"No! Why would I do that?" She smiled at him in the mirror.
Ryan went behind her, carefully brushing her hair out of the way to kiss her neck, "Why wouldn't you do that?"
"Because I do that enough normally. I don't need to."
Ryan laughed and took his wet shirt off, "Fair,"
She reached behind her back and removed her bra from under her shirt. "Thank the heavens. You have no idea how uncomfortable those things are when they're wet."
