"It is?" Oliver answered quickly, glancing up from his feet as he looked towards Maddie, a mixed look of surprise and innocence on his face. He adjusted his hands on her waist, hoping that he wasn't making her uncomfortable.

“O-oh, are they?” Chelsea stammered, breath, “Thank you…” She wasn’t the flirtatious twin.

“Yep it is, you smart little butterfly.” Cade laughed.

I must be making him uncomfortable and we haven't even started yet "I guess I'll lead until you get the hang of it." Madelyn stepped back pulling him with her and began a simple waltz that just seemed natural to the music. Even in heels her steps were well practiced and as confidant; as the could be with Oliver as her partner. I hope he doesn't mind me leading.

"You're quite good," Oliver commented, a small chuckle escaping him as he moved along with her, glancing over to see Quinn gesturing wildly in the background. He looked back towards Madelyn, a wide smile brightening his features as he continued to move along to the music, surprisingly not tripping over himself.

She smiles at the compliment, "I've had a lot of training and if you weren't so worried about your feet… I could show you some more advanced steps." She tried to keep the her usual confidant tone.

"Actually, my feet are worried about me, but I would be honored to learn some steps from Ms. Hatter herself," Oliver answered, trying to switch to a more regal tone, but failing miserably. He stepped a bit closer subconsciously, still very aware of how close they were. Don't mess up. Don't. Mess. Up.

Suddenly the music in the room dove to a halt stopping everyone’s dancing , the lights darkened and dimmed to the point where almost nothing was visible and out of nowhere people began to vanish into thin air one after the other until only a few remained (all of your characters are still there) and then suddenly the lights went out, leaving the room in complete darkness and the faint sound of some thing sharp like claws cutting into the floor.

Madelyn was in the middle of teaching Oliver how to dip when the lights went out. She felt his grip loosen and he dropped her. She crashed to the floor, Oh, why now? she thought as she sat up What ever it is why did it have to happen now?

On instinct, Jaxon’s wings opened and he frantically closed them again, though he was itching to fly away. The sound of claws and sudden quiet threw off his hearing, though he couldn’t tell the room was dark. “Cade?” He automatically asked, grip tightening. “What happened?”

Across the clearing, Reyna stiffened and excused herself from Alex. “Hello?” She called to the room in general, unable to see anything.

An odd clicking sound reverberates through the room as well as claws scraping against the Hard stone floor.

The claws dragging across the floor sent shivers down her spine. She calmly reached for her blades and listen trying he best to pinpoint it's location in the room.

Gently Thanatos pulled Chelsea against him in a protective manner.

The creature slowly moved through out the room before centering on one of the guests left over in the room, a swift whistle, a gurgling scream and a loud splattering is all that is heard before a loud crunching and cracking sound is heard.

Reyna’s next move was to pull her skirt up into a much more mobile outfit. Her mother didn’t fight a lot, but the few times she had, she was always wearing dresses and needed a way to make it work. After she figured it out, she taught it to Reyna too.

Madelyn reached up and grabbed Oliver hand and pulled him down into a crouching position, She put a finger up agents his lips know they were both blind, Please under stand this means no sound, don't say anything.She quietly started to take off her shoes to eliminate the sound they would make on the floor.

Soon the crunching finished and the creature moved on traveling back towards the rooms exit and was soon gone. A few minutes later the light returned revealing the grisly remains of someone who had obviously been partially devoured, next to the corpse, was a piece of yellowed parchement with an inscruption seemingly written in blood. On the palate it said

“A dear treasure stolen, not to be returned. Loving families torn apart utterly crashed and burned. To save them you must first find the key, search the world from end to end best start within the world tree. And at the crossroads of the universe the piper lies in wait. If heed this warning you do not, await a grisly turn of fate.”

Cade suppressed a whimper and gently squeezed Jaxon’s hand, “The room went dark. And there’s this horrible sound like-like claws scratching the floor.”

Thanatos’s pressense was reassuring, but that sound was a pain to hear and a little terrifying. Chelsea tried to figure out what was making that horrible sound and where t was coming from

Involuntarily, Jaxon’s wings opened again to curl around him - and Cade, by default - protectively, like a shield. After the noises stopped, he whispered, “What about now?”

Reyna wrinkled her nose and stepped closer to the remains, nudging the parchment with her foot and reading it aloud for everyone.

"That did happen right?, it wasn't one of my episodes." She looked around trying to make sense of what took place.

Thanatos turned to her taking his mask from his face and throwing it to the floor. “ I assume this doesn’t usually happen then?” He asked

“Some really horrifying sh- … really bad things.”

Jaxon started mumbling to himself under his breath, death grip tightening.

“It wasn’t an episode, this doesn’t usually happen, and this is a stupidly cryptic note. Fun,” Reyna said drily.
