Cooper nodded to her and went to his own food. Darren frowned and pushed the food around the plate.
Cooper nodded to her and went to his own food. Darren frowned and pushed the food around the plate.
Lillian sighed and was half tempted to start force feeding him. She took a bite of her food not being able to withstand the smell, "Do I need to use the airplane trick to feed you?"
Darren glanced at her and sighed. He took a bite of his food and swallowed it, he continued until half the food on his plate was gone. He leaned back to say he was done.
Lillian had finished her plate and nodded to Darren in acceptance. At least he ate. She whispered to him, "Good job."
âAre you going to finish you food, you know someone worked hard to make that,â Linda eyed Darrenâs half eaten plate of food with disappointment.
Lillian glared at Linda, "Why should he? If he isn't hungry he shouldn't have too. Besides I'm proud he ate half of his plate."
âHeâs not a child,â Linda groaned.
âCooper. You have a girlfriend yet?â
Coop looked up from his food, âNo. weâve been over this. I have a boyfriend,â
Darren snickered.
Lillian chuckled. Besides at the moment Darren sort of was a child.
Darrenâs smile faded as he stood and walked up the stairs. His face had regained its pale, ashen color and he clenched his jaw.
Lillian stood up and walked after him. She felt the need to be next to him at the moment. She wanted him to know she wasn't going anywhere.
He walked into the bathroom and laid on the rug, sweat beading on his forehead, his fever returned.
Lillian walked in after him. She noticed the sweat on his forehead. Lillian grabbed a washcloth got it damp with cold water and gently laid it on his forehead.
âThanks,â he coughed and balled the rug into a fist. He looked at the tub with an idea but was too weak to execute it.
Lillian looked to the tub and then back to Darren, "Want me to fill up with cold water for you?"
Darren nodded slowly. âPlease?â He sat himself up against the wall with droopy eyes.
Lillian smiled and nodded, "Of course."
She walked over and turned the tap to cold. She put the plug down and watched as it filled up. Once it was at a reasonable level she turned back to Darren, "Ready?"
His eyes had closed but he nodded, sweat dripped from his chin and matted his hair.
Lillian made sure the door was closed and locked before walking back to Darren, "I'm going to strip you okay?"
Darrenâs eyes opened a little as he blinked, âmmkay,â he looked away, âSorry,â she shouldnât have to do this.
Lillian smiled as she tugged his shirt over his head, "It's fine babe. I don't mind at all."
He nodded and hoped that was true. He pulled himself up and fell against the wall.
Lillian held him carefully, "Woah there it's okay."
She started to tug his pants off.
He sighed and stepped out of his pants. The cool air hit his sweaty skin and he sighed.
Lillian chuckled at his sigh. The air must feel nice to him. Now there was one article left⌠Yeah she would leave that one to Darren.
His hand was clammy but he put it on Lillianâs cheek gingerly. He took his underwear off and stumbled into the tub. He exhaled slowly as his body hit the cold water.
Lillian sat next to the tub. Her hands found there way into Darren's sweat soaked hair. They played with his wet curls.
Darren leaned his head toward her. âYou didnât have to,â he said quietly.
Lillian smiled and kissed his forehead, "I wanted to okay? I love you."
âLove you too,â he closed his eyes and dipped his face under the water, he ran his hands through his wet hair.
Lillian watched him. She was ready to help out in anyway she could, but just being there worked for now.
