“Mm… is there anything I can do to help, Foxstar? I know I was gone for a little longer than expected; the weather was fickle near the mountains.” Finchsong had seen that Ashpaw still had a splint, but it was a simple one, which meant his leg was healing.
"For one, you can head over to Thunderclan and figure out what has been happening." Foxstar replied.
(Lmao)
Finchsong bowed her head. "Yes, Foxstar. I'll do that right away." And with that, she trotted out of the medicine den and then the camp, heading towards Thunderclan.
(The med cats of TC are Harkflight- Ginger tabby tom with a fluffy tail and Dapplepaw- Grey tortoiseshell she-cat with green eyes)
Being alone for the first time in moon felt so odd for her, having the feeling of Oakleaf besides her always made her feel everything would be ok. Passing through the trees, the sensation of being watched came over he. Looking up, she spied an apprentice among the tree branch's.
~~~~~~~
Finchsong had left a while back but Blazestorm could not help but go out and find her. He hated when cats went out alone, and after saving Ashpaw, he felt an even a deeper ditsier to help the medicine cats.
"Hello?" Finchsong called up to the apprentice. "Are you alright? You're not stuck, are you?" She glanced around nervously to see whether there was any other cats here. Well, not that I can see… She put it out of her mind for the moment, looking back up at the stray apprentice.
The tom cat did not move from his spot, only stared down at her with narrowed amber eyes. From the bushes, a slim cream colored she-cat emerged, her long tail was fluffed out and her dark blue eyes were vibrant with energy and adventure.
"What are you doing on Thunderclan territory?!" She hissed, trying to make her small body look bigger.
Finchsong took on a submissive position, bowing her head. "I mean no harm. I am Riverclan's medicine cat, Finchsong. My leader, Foxstar, requested that I come and see what's been going on. I have been on a journey for several moons."
"Nothing has been 'going on'," Snapped the apprentice in the trees, "Riverclan has no business digging their claws in other clans affair." Hopping from branch to branch, the light brown tabby tom made his way to the ground, "Tell your leader Thunderclan is fine, nothing of their interest has been happening."
The She-cat dipped in approval. From the bushes being her, another light orange apprentice came forth.
"Oh! Hello; what's… what's your name?" Finchsong asked the other apprentice, still a bit shaken by how snappy the Thunderclan cats were. What's their problem? All the clans know that medicine cats don't come as scouts our anything! And, there's no way Thunderclan didn't know I was gone in the first place.
"My name is not important." Said the orange she-cat calmly, she walked over to the cream colored cat and then stared over to the brown tom then back to Finchsong. "We know you have come in peace but this is not the right time for your visit."
Finchsong dipped her head politely. "I understand. Good day to you; may Starclan guide your path." And with that, she turned tail and went back to Riverclan quietly. On her way, while her mind was elsewhere, she bumped into another cat. "Oh! I'm sorry- I should've been looking where I was going…. Blazestorm? What are you doing here?"
The orange tom starred at her wide eyes, "Uhhh, well…. I feel odd when you medicine cats gout alone. Ever since we saved Ashpaw I keep on feeling like y'all get hurt somehow."
Finchsong sighed, smoothing out her fur. "I'm alright, although the Thunderclan cats are very snappy today… they were pretty rude, but they didn't touch me. We should probably head back to camp."
"But Foxstar sent you out with a mission, Thunderclan cats have no right to tell you what to do! It was your leaders orders, not theirs! Are you putting their authority over the authority of the Riverclan Leader? Are they your leader?!"
"Well, no… but I don't want to get attacked! I can go back some other time when they're more open to visits. It is their territory, after all, and I haven't really got a right to be there."
"You are a medicine cat!" He snapped, "You do not follow the warriors code! We can find another way in, but this is to important to let it slip by. The clans do not know what their up agents, this is for the benefit of all the clans, not just Riverclan."
Finchsong turned her ears back nervously. "Blazestorm… I-I'm not sure this is a good idea. Remember, these are the clans, not rogues. We can't really just burst into another clan's camp without starting a war, and we can't really handle a war right now. We don't want to make an enemy of Thunderclan."
His tail fluffed out and ears went back as he stared at her, "Well for one, they don't know about me. Two! If your not delivering the message then I am! I don't care about some silly Thunderclan cats, I did not live my life stealing info and saving cats for nothing!" With that, he stormed off.
"Blazestorm! You can't just walk into Thunderclan!" Finchsong ran after him, looking around nervously. "This isn't just stupid; it's dangerous! Please, just come back to camp?"
"I'll find a way to the Thunderclan medicine cats," He hissed, "Fight or no fight, I will not let Blizzard plan a unknown attack on any clan! We must know! And for one I KNOW Thunderclan has gotten in contact with Blizzard, I know." He did not slow his pace as he finished his words.
Finchsong sighed and followed him. "And what if we get attacked? If the whole clan tries to take out the intruders, which isn't unlikely, we don't stand a chance. Especially since my fighting skills are next to nothing. I find herbs, not pick fights. Oh, Starclan… you better have a good plan."
"For one, a cat wont attack cats if they know they will win, especially if their out numbering them. If we annoy them enough they will take us to their camp and BAM! You can talk to the medicine cat."
(Hello!)
(YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I'm not alone!!)
"Isn't… isn't that more reason for them to attack us? We're easy targets because we'll be outnumbered for sure."
"If they attack us, well they just put the title of 'savages' into Thunderclans name forever! Attacking a medicine cat, great Starclan isn't that bad!?"
"I don't know, Blazestorm. That's a lot of 'if's." Finchsong said quietly, although she didn't stop following Blazestorm.
On seeing the trees ahead, Blazestorm blasted off into a sprint. He did not look back or say anything, only ran to the trees and his mission to get to the medicine cat of Thunderclan.
“Hey!” Finchsong hesitated before dashing after Blazestorm. Being pretty fast, she caught up with him relatively easily before matching his pace.
