Macha nodded, relieved.

Macha did as Dani instructed.

Blake was startled out from a daze as he heard Dani's voice from somewhere in the hospital wing. He almost got up, but stayed put, unwilling to break his promise to Zander.

Dani nodded. "Okay. Don't freak out." Before Macha could ask why, Dani used the claw on it to squeeze the Black Death, and it slowly let go of Macha. Dani then promptly flung it into a glass, cage-like box. "I'll let Dr. Wise decide what to do with this. You okay Macha???"

Macha’s eyes were wide as she slowly sat up. “I’ll be fine once ai get to that dance.”, she half-smiled.

I gtg for like a 30 minutes sorry!)

Peter's response was simply just freeze in surprise, and confusion.

Skylar laughed. "Macha. You were just attacked by a black death…. And all you can think about is the dance?"

Dani smiled. "Some people can reject the Black Death, which is why Macha woke up before the Black Death was removed. And the best way to recover from it is to think about something else, like dancing, for instance." She explained.

"Oh. Interesting.. Why do some people reject the black death and others can't?" Sky asked, watching Macha.

"I'm not really sure. Sometimes it depends on how you're feeling. If you're sad, scared, or mad, it makes it easier for the Black Death to do it's job. But when you're happy, or trying to protect someone, like Macha was, it's harder for it to find the emotions that it feeds on." Dani tried her best to explain.

"Wow. That is… very informational." Skylar said slowly, not really knowing what to say. "So she will be alright?"

"Yeah she'll be fine. It was only on her for about two minutes, not enough time to do any real damage."

"Good." Sky said, smiling. "Blake would be very upset if we made him stay with us… we might be a little late." She laughed, looking at the time.

Dani laughed with her.

Blake popped his head out behind Lily's bed curtain. "I'm here too!" He smiled, still very tipsy.

"Blake? I thought you were at the dance?" Sky said in surprise.

"Zander splashed me with water and said somethin' bad was going on. He told me to guard little Lily."

"Ooookay Blake. do you see why I told you not to get drunk now??" She grabbed his arm and led him into the other room.

Alone with Macha, she sat down, watching her. "That was crazy! I am glad you are all right, though. Ace will probably be here soon." She said.

"Well, it's been a while since I've had the living crud scared out of me," Peter mumbled, half laughing.

"B-But Lily!" Blake weakly resisted against Dani's grip. "I promised, Zander…" He whined.

"Lily is fine. The threat is gone. And you won't do her much good when you're drunk." Dani argued.

I guess with skylar xD im still a little fuzzy on whatever just happened lol )

"But Zander told me not to leave. He's gonna be mad at me if he comes back." Blake pouted.
