Lillian looked, "See! Even your idiot of a brother agrees. So don't."
Lillian looked, "See! Even your idiot of a brother agrees. So don't."
“I’m not sure either of you understand why I want this,” he held her tighter.
Lillian muttered, "Maybe you could help me understand?"
“What is there to not understand?”
"Why? Why you want to sign them?"
Darren thought. He knew why but it sounded dumb in words. “I don’t want people to wait for me. Not you or friends or family… with the hope that I’ll wake up. You will wait for an empty shell of a person to come back to you. You shouldn’t waste your life on that,”
Lillian sighed, "Okay. I understand now. Doesn't mean I'm happy about it though."
“There’s always the chance that they extubate me and I breath on my own. Then they have no choice but to wait for me to wake up no matter how long it takes.”
Lillian frowned and reached her left hand up to wipe away the tears, "I guess."
“Don’t cry for me,” he wiped her tears with his thumb, “I’ll be alright. I just thought you deserved to know,”
Lillian nodded, "Okay. Don't die you big idiot."
“Not if I can help it,” he smiled a little.
