@Bri_Soto
"Shh, shh, it's okay," She hurried to calm him, "I was awake, I just came from over there." Bridgett pointed to the area she had come from. "Are you okay?"
"Shh, shh, it's okay," She hurried to calm him, "I was awake, I just came from over there." Bridgett pointed to the area she had come from. "Are you okay?"
He nodded, shakily getting back onto the chair. "I… uh… I-I couldn't sleep?" It wasn't really a lie, he told himself. He just had left out why exactly he couldn't sleep. However, if Bridgett asked exactly why, there was no way she wouldn't see through any lies he tried to tell, and he didn't like lying anyways. His parents lied so much, and he didn't want to be anything like them.
Bridgett nodded a little in response. "Bad dreams?" She asked softly.
She herself had had nightmares while she slept in the hospital and wondered if it was the same for Jay.
Jay hesitated for a moment before nodding, a pink tint rising to his pallid cheeks. He looked away and held tighter to the book.
(aaah my leg was numb and I tried to go down the stairs and i almost died)
Bridgett pulled the chair next to him closer to his and sat down. She wrapped her arms around Jay, a bit awkwardly at first, but settling into a comfortable position easily, and pulled him into a hug. "It's alright, you're okay now."
She wished she could do more to ease his mind, but what else could she do? So, she just hugged Jay and stroked his hair while he clung to the book.
Jay hiccuped, brushing the tears from his eyes as soon as they fell. Stop crying… you know what happens when you cry. He lay his head against Bridgett's shoulder and closed his eyes, just trying to forget everything temporarily to the best of his ability.
(Bridgett: I'll just speak quietly so I don't scare him Hi Jay
Jay: aaaAAA falls off of chair
Bridgett: Shi-)
(Lol true)
Bridgett held him. His breathing was a little ragged while he cried slightly. Bridgett continued to run her fingers through his hair and hummed a little to calm him. "It's okay to cry, so go ahead and cry. Just know that I'm here and I love you and everything's going to be okay."
But I don't want to lose control again… Nonetheless, tears rolled down Jay's cheeks and he stopped trying to brush them away. The nightmares were still fresh in his mind; the same as memories but worse. Shards of glass tearing through his shoulder, blow after blow crushing his ribs. But they're in jail now, right…? What if they break out? They'll come looking for me. They'll… kill me.
(Why are you so evil)
(also, there's not much else for Bridgett to do rn so she'll just keep hugging him, playin with his hair, and humming some song stuffs for now)
(Noice and yes, I am very much a sadist lol. I mean, I torture all of my characters. One of my pure angel (a literal angel) beans, Nathaniel, his older brother died and then soon after that, he went out flying to clear his mind and got shot down by a duck hunter. His wings were crushed upon impact and yeah now he can't fly. The hunter left him there to die. And my boi Robin woke up to find his house on fire, jumped out the window, and then woke up on an island with tall cliffs on all sides (he's deathly afraid of heights). He was stuck there for a year or so before managing to escape with two other kids. Back at home, he almost died to a poisoned bear trap, got his leg badly broken in a car crash, tried to kill himself because his older brother lashed out in anger, and all sorts of stuff :D)
(Also what do you want to do in terms of the rp?)
(Wow. You are a sadist. And I thought I was bad. I murdered my Stefan's parents in front of him by burning them at the stake when he was 9, I made one of my characters, Lucina, get attacked when she was young by other kids who threw sharp rocks at her, etc. You are much worse. Well done.
And with the rp, i got no clue, i think we need the others to make it actually run like a story, y'know? Bc idk what everyone else is doing, Drew is lying half dead in a street a block or 2 away, and then our beans are just here. We could work on having Bridgett teaching Jay to read or have them fall asleep and wait for the others? What do you think?)
(Hmm… well, he wants to learn to read, falling asleep is pretty likely, and we also need other people to make it interesting… idk, maybe we should wait?)
(Yeah, probably. We'll wait then :) you busy today?)
(Nopeee. Unless you count trying to animate like, four or five different map parts)
(Great! And that sounds quite difficult but cool. I can't animate anything to save my life lol the same goes for drawing anything)
(Ehhhhhhhhh my animations are all on scratch if you wanna check them out https://scratch.mit.edu/users/Blizzard7209/ )
(Dude!! They're awesome!)
(Thanks qwq)
(yoyoyo is anyone else still on?)
In the middle of the night, Drew gets a sudden urge to get off his ass and try and find his family. He weakly stands, shaking violently and bleeding excessively. He stumbles down the side of the street until he realizes that he's standing in front of the Library that he's been looking so long for. He rings the doorbell and Bridget answers.
"Hey, love… Long time.. no see…" He mutters right before he falls to the ground, passed out.
(Someone help me. I'm babysitting my 3 year old sister and she doesn't want to watch anything else but Barbie movies and TV shows.)
Jay looked up at Drew's voice, jumping up and running to the door. "Drew? Oh my god! I thought you were dead!" He hugged Drew tightly, breathing heavily.
(THANK YOU I THOUGHT NO ONE WAS GOING TO REPLY TONIGHT AND I GOT SAD)
(I mean… ahem not that I was… erm… waiting around and pressing refresh on the page or anything… ahem ahem)
(Lol)
Drew is slightly conscious and feels Jay hug him. He weakly wraps his arms around the kid.
"Hey, kiddo…" He winced, the floor causing his bloody back to burn. "How ya doin'?"
"Miss Bridgett and I were just… well… it's nothing." Jay looked up at Drew, tear tracks still littered across his face. "Where have you been?"
His breathing is getting more and more labored as he's losing more and more blood. He uses a lot of his strength struggling to sit up, leaving a patch of dark blood on the ground where his back was previously. He looks at the young boy sitting across from him and gently wipes the tear stains off of his cheeks, remembering how much he really loves this kid. He tries his hardest to make Jay think he's alright. That nothing's wrong. That he doesn't most likely have death fastly approaching. "It's a long story, Jay… But, it doesn't matter now… I'm here and that's what matters…" He smiles weakly.
