(I want Drew to meet Jay's parents. Jesus, that would be a scene.)

(It would be a scene after Bridgett finished with them)

Bridgett tilted her head to the side for a moment and said "That's true." (lol, it's okay). She followed his lead and looked around the room herself.
(So, they left him in the kinda staff room, which is more like a mini living room that connects to the library, Bridget and Drew are in the library rn, there's a basement, and Bridgett lives upstairs. I'm trying to make a mental image of the set up)

Drew sighed. "Nice place." He then shook his head, both chuckling and mentally hitting himself. "Sorry, I'm shit at starting conversation."

(Yeah it would. A crime scene. Because murder.)

(Yes. That and I feel like Drew would yell at them and then would want to do to Jay's parents all that they did to Jay.)

Bridgett laughed softly. "It's okay, so am I." She thought a moment. "Want some cookies? I think I still have some from earlier…"

Drew shot her a sideways smile because of her offer, "Sure, why not." He followed her to wherever the cookies are.

(Yeah I figure Jay would go in, get slapped or somethin, then Dridgett's like o HELL NAH)

(Basically, yeah. Bridgett's gonna give them a talking to. BUT she doesn't love torture, so she may kinda stop Drew, but kinda let him, then let him kill 'em, but idk. we'll have to see about that in the next day)

Bridgett lifted the plate of chocolate chip cookies for Drew to have one as she took one herself. "So" she said, taking a bite of her cookie, "What's your story?"

Drew took a cookie then shook his head and looked at the countertop that he was resting his forearms on. "Sorry, missy. I don't do backstories." He took a bite of his cookie then smiled a tiny bit. "But, I am, quite frankly, very interested in yours. What led you to open a library?"

(I'M GAME FOR TIME SKIP AFTER THIS LI'L AWKWARD CONVO BETWEEN DRIDGETT I WANNA SEE THIS. Also, what time is it for you, Anyone At All? And @Smol_Snake you should be sleeping soon! It's like 1 there, isn't it?)

Drew not 'doing backstories' intrigued her, but she decided to ask later. She leaned her back against the counter next to him and sighed. "Nothing interesting. Just a girl who loves books, so I figured I'd open a place where I can be surrounded by books 24/7. Plus, it's a safe haven for good kids like Jay in there." She gestured to where they'd come from.

(Also, don't mind me, I just casually hit myself in the face with a wooden spoon. XD)
