Reese stood up and headed for the door. She opened it and walked outside. Home. It wasn't the same anymore. Reese took out her phone to text her mom when something wet and sticky covered her mouth. Her eyes widened, then her body went slack into the arms of a black-clothed figure. A second figure drove a van and pulled over so that the first person could lift Reese into the stomach of the van. A third figure appeared and threw a rock in the living room window, which promptly shattered. All three kidnappers climbed into the truck and drove away quickly.

(DUH DUH DUH DUUUUUUH)

Nathaniel flinched when the rock came through the window, shrinking against Lillian and watching the van drive away quickly.

Lillian scowled she held Nate close. Before turning to Darren, “Let’s go babe! We got a van to catch!”
