Lillian laughed, "They most certainly did. We all did. Poor horses."

"And from what I can tell, they haven't got any magic either!" Lloyd said, sounding a bit exasperated.

Lillian smiled as she let out a yawn. She was still tired, "Yeah. I know a few people with magic, but not many."

"Unicorns only live on earth because they can't fly, but they aren't true earthly beings. I don't think I've met a single earthly creature with magic. Not one!"

Lillian sighed, "It's because Earth doesn't have magic. None at all. Zippo. I wish it did."

"Maybe? Either that or it's a random ghost…"

“Ghost,” He said under his breath, “I might have something for that,”

"Really?" Rory leaned forward.

"Ugh, it's so boring!" Lloyd whined. "Being stuck on earth for so long just makes me miss home more!"

Lillian laughed, "Well you have Nate right?"

"Yeah, but now he's stuck here too! He'll find life on earth quite dull in comparison to the things he's seen in the heavens."

“I think, do you know what I am?”

Lillian sighed as her eyes closed, "Yeah. Are you tired Lloyd? I'm really tired."

"Uh……Ryan? You're a Ryan."

He laughed. “Not what I meant but yes,”

"Wait…you're not…..human?"

Lloyd nodded. "Last night was the first I had slept in ages. Nate seems to be coping fine, though."

“Uuummm, not exactly,” he forgot Rory didn’t know.

Rory blinked. "Oh okay cool. So what are you?"

“I’m a hybrid,” not everyone knows what that is. True “Werewolf and Vampire,”

"Huh." Rory nodded. "Will you kill me?"

Probably, “No. I haven’t yet have I?”

"No. No you haven't." He cleared his throat. 'So….what do you have that could help me?"

“It might not work, but it’s a compass that senses the supernatural. Unfortunately there is a lot of that in this town,”

"Great…" Rory bit his lip. "Worth a try right?"

"Yeah, one second, I'll go get it," He got up and disappeared into the room with the white door. He came back with a small glass case that held a golden compass. He handed it to Rory. It made small ticking noises.
