(me too!)
(hello ^^)
(should we catch up on Luke and Nathan or something?)
(Yeah, maybe we have a little thing where they almost get spotted and have to move their hiding place? I think we should give them a bit more time to really recover though. Ooh, maybe Luke and Nathan have to catch the sentry so he doesn't raise the alarm and decide to do a little interrogation while they're at it? Just a thought)
(I like it, that's good)
Nathan blinked and slipped backwards. He was immediately awake to catch himself from falling. Still in pain, he looked around groggily and spotted a sentry approaching. He gently shook Luke.
Luke opened his eyes. He still looked miserable but didn't complain, only followed your gaze and nodded. Silently, he went into a crouch, his muscles tensing in readiness.
The sentry, a bored-looking blond boy, walked right under the tree and stopped, fiddling with his phone. Luke glanced at you and hand-signaled that he thought they should jump him.
Nathan nodded. Both boys waited until the sentry was right beneath them. Nathan signalled to Luke to jump down behind the guy. He jumped down and landed right in front of the guy, gritting his teeth to hold back his cry of pain as his aching legs hit the ground with a rough jolt.
The boy's head snapped up and he stared at you, startled. "What the–"
Luke loomed up behind him, throwing a precise, hard jab that caught the boy in the center of his back. The boy jerked forward, stunned. "Your turn," Luke said to Nathan. "Don't let him sound the alarm."
Nathan kicked the boy's left shin, as hard as he could manage. The sentry doubled over, gasping. "What's your name?"
He snarled at you and lifted his hand, preparing some kind of spell. But Luke promptly stepped on the boy's fingers, crushing them. "He asked you a question, Princess. Not that we really care who you are, but I guess we might as well keep this friendly." He scooped up the boy's sleek smart phone and tossed it from hand to hand. "Bet this cost a lot, eh? Shame if my hand slipped right now."
The boy gave you both a look nasty enough to melt steel. "My name," he muttered, "is Sebastian Thorne."
(I have arrived but you guys continue… I have to do something anyway)
(kk ^^)
Nathan pinned Thorne to a tree. "We could seriously mess you up," he snarls, placing a hand on Sebastian's mouth. "All we need is a quiet way in."
Sebastian looked at the two of them, at their bruises and shadowed eyes, and decided to take them seriously. He pointed at a narrow alley leading around the side of the building.
Luke trotted/limped over and peeked into the alley. "It looks like it lets out in back," he called quietly. "Is that where you're saying we should go? There's an easy way in back there?"
Sebastian nodded, eyeing Nathan warily.
Nathan lowered his voice to a deadly hiss. "If you raise the alarm, we'll drag you down with us," he assures before letting go.
Sebastian looked utterly terrified, stumbling away from Nathan and almost tripping over his own feet. "W-what do you think you can do against us? You're nothing but a pair of worthless humans."
Luke laughed at that, "Maybe you shouldn't judge too quickly, pal." He glanced at Nathan. "Although, I never asked if you were human, so I can't speak for you. But in my book, humans are a force to be reckoned with."
Nathan shook off Luke's silent question. "I'm sure we're here for much nobler reasons than any excuse you could possibly think of."
Sebastian stuttered for a second, then gave up and settled for bargaining. "Can I at least have my phone back? Otherwise I'll let everyone know you're here."
Luke grunted. "I have and idea." He dropped Sebastian's phone and casually stepped on it. While Sebastian was still reeling from that, he walked over and decked the shorter boy, sending him to the ground like a rag doll.
"Sorry," Luke said to Nathan. "Shoulda let you have some fun with him first."
Nathan snorted coldly. "Oh, he would've deserved it, but it's faster this way. I think we should make the most of this quiet and get to Maddie and Crash as soon as possible. I've already let enough friends die for a lifetime."
He gave you an appraising look at that last remark, but decided not to pry. "I think you're right. Who knows what kind of crazy stuff's going down in there."
Nathan nodded again. "Ok. Let's do it." He strode to where Sebastian still lay and took his gun. He grabbed his knives, too, and looked at Luke. "Preference?" he asked, holding out the weapons.
"I only know how to disarm guns, so I'll take the sharp objects, thanks." Luke took the knives and stowed them in his belt. "All right. Let's get this show on the road."
(anything else to add, or should we switch back to the others for a minute? Assuming @Carys is still around)
(nah you can get back to Maddie, we're just gonna make our way inside)
(Ok ^^ I guess I'll do that a bit later when we're both on at the same time, I have to go for a bit next)
(ok see you later)
(yoo-hoo! Anybody home?)
(oh whoops me)
(Heyo! ^^ Man, Carys must be really busy today.)
(yeah, well I'm going to have to go soon seeing as its 2.57 am)
