He smiled back, half-heartedly, "Hey, is Belle Adams here?"

She nodded. "That she is. May I ask why you're looking for her? She gets quite a few fans every day and has asked me to keep them away from her. It's too distracting, she says."

Artemis walked out the morgue and spotted Ryan at the receptionist desk. She cursed as she quickly found Belle in the inspectors office. “Ryan’s here.”

“She’s my girlfriend,” he smiled a little more so he seemed nicer.

Her head shot up to look at Artemis. "Wait what? He's here?" She sighed. "Don't do anything. Don't say anything. If he wants to come back, let him. I have some explaining to do. And he has a few questions to answer."

The receptionist looked shocked. "What?? She never said she had a boyfriend! She's usually pretty talkative, I wonder why she left this out. Hmm, anyway, hold on, I'll let you back." She pressed a button on her phone. "Annalise? We have someone up from looking for Belle." "Is it another fan? Did they bribe you again?" "No, it's someone claiming to be her boyfriend." There was silence. "What's his name?" She looked at him. "You heard the lady. What's your name?"

Her head shot up to look at Artemis. "Wait what? He's here?" She sighed. "Don't do anything. Don't say anything. If he wants to come back, let him. I have some explaining to do. And he has a few questions to answer."

“I don’t think that’s a good idea but the vampire werewolves have a certain mark on there wrist, neck or back. It’d be a chance to see where it has it.”

“Ryan… uhh Lerman,”

Belle shook her head. "Trust me, just let him by. If you can, pass behind him and take a quick glance. I'll do what I can from there."

Artemis gave her thumbs up as she glanced at the clock. It was going to be getting dark soon.

She pressed the button again. "A Ryan Lerman?" There was indistinct talking, then silence. "He's clear. I'll come up and get him." She looked back at him. "Just wait a bit, she'll be fast." Almost as soon as the sentence finished, there was a lady by the desk. "Hello. You must be Ryan. I'm Annalise. Come on, Belle's been expecting you." She started walking back to the Inspectors office.

Artemis watched as Anna and Ryan approached the inspectors office.

Expecting me? He shrugged and followed.

They passed by Artemis as they reached the Inspectors office. Belle was staring at the wall, contemplating. "Belle? He's here." She looked up and smiled. "Thanks Anna. You can go." Anna nodded and left, leaving Ryan in the doorway and Belle looking pale and weak in the chair by the water cooler. She had a weak smile on her face. "Hey."

"Uhh, hey," he didn't know what he was doing, this made it look like he was stalking her or something.

She sipped her water. "I'm assuming you have a few questions based on what I'm sure Inspector Collins told you."

He walked closer to her cautiously. "And I'm sure you have a few question on why I went in the first place,"

She shrugged. "Not really but okay." She sat back and sighed. "So, fire away. First question."

"You're a detective…"

She chuckled slowly. "Not a question but sure. Yes, I am a detective. Have been for a couple of years."

He sighed, "Why didn't you say anything? Tell me?"

Ryan gave Artie a weird glance as he passed by her. Artemis notice the tip of a mark on Ryan’s back almost on his neck as he approached the Inspectors office. She stood outside the office trying to listen in on the conversation she hoped Belle was recording it.

She clutched her cup tighter. "I didn't see a reason to. I don't usually have any work and I haven't even been here for a case in quite a few months. I'm sorry I didn't but I didn't think it would come back up so soon."

"I understand," He sat down. "Are you here for the girl that was killed?"

She nodded, almost stiff. He was at eye level with her, and also within noticing difference of the recorder in her pocket recording the entire conversation. Better safe than sorry. "Of course. Collins called me here because the police are idiots and can't figure this case out."

"Is there anything I can help with? I mean I have a few ideas of my own, on what happened." He could hear an electronic buzz.

Has Artie stood outside Inspector Collins had returned as he approached the office she stopped him, “Belles in there talking to Ryan right now, Sir. If you can wait out here.

Collins gave Artemis a weird look as he asked,”Who the hell are you?”

“Artemis Taylor’s, Belle asked me for help so she could get a fresh eye on the situation.”

“Wait Artemis? Are you the one who move here from Brookside?,” he asked her.

“Yes why do you ask?” Artemis said giving him a confused look.

“Your the one Chief Alvarez asked me to keep an eye on and keep out of trouble.” He said as he gave her a look while Artie’s faces turned into a look of surprise.

She raised an eyebrow. "What do you think happened? I have a pretty good idea myself but I'm not sure how well the police force will take it." And how well you would either considering that it would end up killing you. Her heart stung and she winced a small bit.
