Missy's fingers wrapped around the grenade. She shakily pulled it out, yanked the chain, and threw it into the pod. She heard it clatter around for a second, then the metallic horror burst into pieces.

//how many are there
The alien on top of Luca screeched, then fell still. Luca opened his eyes. He sighed. "You okay Missy?"
(Well the lines of red were made out of pods so they're scattered all over the nation)
//ahh i get it now…. are there more where they are or are they moving on from their current location?
(The plan is that they're gonna be out in the Fields of Asphodel (plains right near their gas station) and their gonna hold down the fort that night from the invasion)
Missy relaxed slightly when the pod blew up. A piece of metal whizzed by her face. One sliced at her hair as it flew by. Oh Lordy, she hurt. She could barely move. Strong. Strong. Missy pushed herself up but did nothing more than take a few steps, stumble, and fall to the ground. Pain sliced up her arms. Blood pooled all over her. She closed her eyes and felt lightheaded. Everything was fuzzy.
(AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH O_O)
(Hey girly! For kicks Astrum could be asleep in the station)
Luca heaved the bug off of him and stumbled over to Missy. "Where…where does it hurt?"
(Mmk. O~o)
(You okay hun?)
//i gtg so um just say Cato is with you if you move
"Everywhere…" Missy hissed. She couldn't remember when she gritted her teeth.
(Okie dokie)
Luca grimaced. "Okay uh…….I'll carry you back to the station. I think Astrum can patch you up."
Astrum was sound asleep.
(Wow Astrum.
Shame.)
Her body suddenly went limp. She'd passed out from the pain and exhaustion.
Luca grunted and scooped her up. "Why am I always left to take care of you?" He paused. "Wait no you take care of me."
At once, Missy regained consciousness. Her eyes flickered, and she looked faintly up at Luca's face. "Huh? What… happened?"
Cato, though reluctant to leave Jordan’s side, climbed down from the roof, jumping the last two feet. “Is she ok?”
"I think so." Luca looked down at her. "You passed out drama queen."
Missy tightened her face into a scowl, even though the pain nearly blinded her. "Shut up." Blood trickled into her mouth.
Luca rolled his eyes. "Get your handkerchief. There's blood on your face."
“That doesn’t look OK,” Cato said, gesturing to the blood on Missy’s face. He fumbled with his belt for a second before pulling a roll of bandages out of his pocket. “For emergencies.” He offered them to Luca.
Missy's arm swiped for her handkerchief and missed. Blindly, she tried again. Her mind unraveled. Poison. There was poison on the claws and now it's in my blood. She didn't want Luca to worry, so she stayed quiet.
"Thanks. How am I supposed to wrap her when I'm carrying her? Let's go see Astrum." He pushed through the revolving door. "Hey Ass! Get your ass over here!"
“Fast please!”
Missy's eyes rolled back and her head lolled lazily around.
Luca cringed. "Hang in there Missy. Please."
“Wait wha?” Astrum asked sleepily.
