(I mean, if you really want to get technical, Belle is being hunted by the government is 6 different countries. They have literally tried to burn her at the stake for being a witch. But she's managed to escape. There's more to her than what I let on.)

(There's more to both my characters that I just don't put into the story because It would get complicated like that Darren/Balthazar was part of a demonic gang and now they're trying to kill him.. Or how Ryan died)

Artemis was laying her bed listening to music when she received a text from her old friend Noah. Opening it up she reads it.

"Artemis, I just overheard my Dad talking with some other exorcist's apparently there is a vampire werewolf hybrid in the town your currently located at."

"Wait you told me that those were all killed after the experiment went wrong??"

Ryan ignored his phone for as long as he could but whoever was calling was persistent. He sat up a bit and saw it was Darren… "Hello?"

'I know what I said Artie, I thought the one that showed up in my town was the last one. Apparently not."

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Cause we were hoping you could investigate as your like 'rite of passage' as my dad said"

Artemis let out a long exasperated sigh, Noah's dad was only doing this cause he wanted her to fail so she wouldn't become an exorcist.

Darren nodded. "Hey man," His tone said everything.

"Hey what's wrong?"
"I don't really know how to say this so I'm just gonna go for it," Darren ran a hand through his hair. (Thanks Evangeline)
Ryan gasped, "Are you breaking up with me?" He joked, he was oblivious, happy.
"What? No! Ummm… Paige, uhh, she died," He held back tears and his legs felt shaky.

After talking with him, apparently the picked it up after an incident that just happened a few days ago. There was no clear evidence that was what it is but Noah said there all pretty sure.

(what incident happened for everyone to figure out what Ryan is? Something that would make sense for them to start investigating it)

Ryan nodded as if Darren could see him but all Darren heard was silence. "Are you okay,"
Ryan sniffed, was he crying? He cleared his throat, "Yeah, I'm fine. I should be asking you, she was your friend,"
"She was your friend too Ryan…" He didn't know what else to say.

(Hmm, well, Belle is a detective herself so maybe Artemis would come to talk, ask for some advice or something, find out Belle is a detective and on their journey, she tells Artemis that it's him?)

(OOO I already was developing a plan for this! So earlier that were all talking about this murder of a girl that was found with her chest ripped by a claw mark and bite marks covering mostly her neck… The same way Ryan's sister died and I was going to have another one happen too..)

(The thing with Artemis though is that she still is getting to know Belle, Artemis can sense Belle isn't normal and still doesn't fully trust her enough yet to come to her for help. So maybe Belle can find Artemis searching for clues in the woods and figure out what Artie is up to?)

(sounds perfect because than Artemis can show up at the scene of the crime for that one and find some clues, then Belle can show up and ends up helping her)

Darren looked over to Lillian… "Hey man I got to go, I'll talk to you later… Call me if you, rrr, need anything," He hung up and hugged Lillian from behind, resting his head on her shoulder.

(also what is Ryan's sister's name? cause a newspaper report about her death could give Artemis the clue that leads her to suspecting Ryan)

(Okay damn. Wait, I thought that was Belle's subplot? To find out what happened to Elizabeth? Yeah that was her thing! I have a proposition though! A compromise. Artemis still comes to ask for advice, get another view on it, Belle pulls her aside to say she's a detective and has been working on it too and they go and solve the mystery together? After all, every Sherlock needs a Watson.)

(Like I side as much as that is ideal, Artemis doesn't trust Belle enough to that yet. And Artemis is stubborn to so theirs no way she would get along with Belle in that environment because Artemis gets riled up quickly for certain reason while investigating the supernatural.)
