He growled at her with ears shot back. He looked at Belle like he didn't recognize her, he was bloodthirsty and wouldn't stop until that need was fulfilled. He tried, again and again, to break free from the binding chains, he licked his teeth relentlessly.
Lillian gently walked over and placed a hand on Paige's back, "Paige?"
Paige whipped onto her back in surprise. Her eyes were wide. (Notice: not specifying which color…)
She looked down again. Everything was quiet. In her mind, in her heart, her ears blocking out any sound from the real world. Silence. Darkness. Peace.
She only looked up, eye only showing sadness and her own broken heart and mind. She wasn't scared. She wasn't anything. She was empty. Hollow. Like a porcelain doll.
(Wow, that's really good! Really deep too!)
Lillian backed away slightly. She waved looking into her eyes, "Hey."

He needed a new approach, he suddenly hit the ground, just laid there and whimpered staring at her with big eyes.
(Why thank you! That's kind of the point!)
(Paige isn't concerned by the giant demon invading her room…)
Paige's eyes locked on Balthazar (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) and she couldn't decide whether to embrace him and beg for Nami back or to scream in fear and run away. She was frozen.
(Happy?)
She closed her eye. The darkness called to her like an old friend. She had a choice. Only one option was right. She could choose to let the darkness swallow her whole and risk her own life or choose to stay there and watch all her childhood pain be put into a person she cared about and thrown in her face. She sighed. There was only one true option. Stay conscious. Stay awake. This choice wasn't for her. It was for him. She opened her eye. She chose to stay here.
(No you spelled it correctly and yes I am satisfied)
He smiled at her but his smile only looked like he was baring shark-like teeth at her so he stopped and settled for a wave.
Paige recoiled slightly at the sight of his sharp teeth. "W-Who are you?"

He whimpered letting out small, sad, lonely barks. He crawled as close as the chains would allow him to and looked up at her, his blue eyes sparkled with kindness like Ryan's did.
She gave him a blank stare and stayed completely still. This wasn't the same girl that had come running down those stairs a few minutes ago. This was someone new. Someone shattered. This was who she really was. A broken, emotionless, blank slate of a girl, thrown into a society filled with mentally working people. She was just static, mixed in for variation.
Paige recoiled slightly at the sight of his sharp teeth. "W-Who are you?"
"I am Balthazar," Oooohhhh My God, dude you're scaring the shit out of her, let me do this. "Stupid human,"He said under his breath. His eyes turned a familiar Forest Green and Darren's voice came out of the demon, "Hey Paige,"
(Why do I love writing about mentally broken characters? Like seriously, why??)
Lillian looked over at Darren, "Really? That might scare her more."
Paige recoiled slightly at the sight of his sharp teeth. "W-Who are you?"
"I am Balthazar," Oooohhhh My God, dude you're scaring the **** out of her, let me do this. "Stupid human,"He said under his breath. His eyes turned a familiar Forest Green and Darren's voice came out of the demon, "Hey Paige,"
Paige whispered. "D-Darren?" She felt a sense of urgency for… something. She had no idea what.
Balthazar looked at Lillian, Darren still present, "At least it's familiar," He answered defensively, "Darren is better at comforting people than Balthazar,"
The demon looked back at Paige, "Yeah, it's me,"
Lillian nodded and sat down in a chair. Her head felt like it was splitting.

He begged her with his eyes to let him free from the chains that held him, or at least come closer. He looked sad and alone even though she was just feet away. He wagged his tail when their eyes met but seeing the emptiness made it freeze and perk his ears up.
Lillian sighed as she managed to say, "He's half demon. Yeah. Get over it."
"Oh my… You're a-a-"
"A demon." He nodded, "Half demon, half human. I can't turn back right now because this dumbass got injured." He fought with the demon counterpart mentally.
Paige's head pounded. She suddenly felt light-headed. "I… I…"
"Sorry, yes I know it's overwhelming,"
Paige groped for something, anything to hold on to. She was losing it. She was losing herself. She squeezed her eyes shut and gritted her teeth.
Lillian was holding her head in her hands. This was what happened when she lost her aura? It sucked.
Darren sighed, "This is gonna hurt, sorry big guy," He shook and turned leaving Darren standing there, hunched over holding his chest as he walked, limped, over to Paige. "Hey…… it's okay," He tried not to fall over by the pain in his chest.
