“I had a commercial and I’m getting paid out my ass, you don’t need a major movie or show deal to get paid.”
“I had a commercial and I’m getting paid out my ass, you don’t need a major movie or show deal to get paid.”
"Seems like a logical choice. There are risks to it, yes, but there are risks in every room."
“It’s either the basement or I literally tear up the town,”
"Basement it is. Ryan, I leave that to you. I need a break." She pulled her cigarettes and lighter out of her bag and walked outside, lighting one. (Her bag is fucking magic.)
He shook his head. “She really shouldn’t smoke,”
Darren laughed, “She’s underage,” they both shrugged.
"Hey! Says the guy who drank all of his dad's liquor!" She yelled with a laugh.
“I had help, and I’m like 500 years old,” Darren laughed.
"So am I! So shut up!" She could barely speak, she was laughing too hard.
“Did you guys hear about the murder last night?” Darren changed the subject but it made Ryan look uncomfortable.
She finished her cigarette and walked back inside. "Murder? What happened?"
“Some Girl was brutally murdered with like claw marks on the neck and chest or something, they think it was an animal,”
Ryan shifted nervously in his seat, “N-no hadn’t heard,”
The gears were turning and she went stiff. She knitted her brows together. "Go on…I need more detail."
What's up with him? Did he commit the murder?! No no. If he committed it he would be confident that he could get away with it. Maybe he just witnessed it.
Lillian scoffed, “Yeah it was a commercial. Those things literally make money from ad revenue.”
“I wasn’t paying attention but, it was a 14 or 15 year old girl who was found with bite marks on her neck and claw marks from her neck down her chest. She was ripped apart and died of blood loss,” Darren explained as Ryan stared off into space with a scared look on his face.
"What was her name?" She sat down, Sherlock senses activated.
“I don’t know Laura Goodman or something,”
“Lauren Trueman,” Ryan corrected.
She looked at him. "And you. You know something. I doubt you committed it for the simple reason of you couldn't but I do believe you either witnessed it or helped commit it."
Lillian scoffed, “Yeah it was a commercial. Those things literally make money from ad revenue.”
He shook his head, still smiling, “Howd you meet Darren?”
She looked at him. "And you. You know something. I doubt you committed it for the simple reason of you couldn't but I do believe you either witnessed it or helped commit it."
Ryan sat up, “What? No! I watch the news,” he said defensively.
She smiled. "Oh really now? Then why were you so nervous? Normal people wouldn't be because it hadn't happened to them. But you've been scared out of your mind since Darren first mentioned it. Which means you have something to hide. You helped with the murder and the actual killer swore you to never tell so you're scared of saying something you shouldn't. It's simple, really."
“No I was uncomfortable because that’s exactly how my sister died,” he replied sharply.
"He auditioned for the school play," Lillian said with a slightly reminiscent sigh, "Everything sort of fell into place from there."
“The play?” He asked confusedly.
Lillian nodded, "Yeah. The play, shocked?"
“He’s into acting?”
She chuckled. "About that. I know you don't believe that your sister commit suicide. You want to find her killer, don't you? I believe it's the same person. It has to be, they kill the same way the similarities are too much. And what's with the defensiveness? I asked a simple question you could have just said no and I would have let you please your case. What are you hiding…" She mumbled the last part and looked at him. She was judging him, stacking him up to the evidence she already had. It's what she did. "Don't take it personally, this is my job, it's what I do. Guilty until proven innocent."
Lillian shrugged, "I mean kind of? It's a musical so I think he's there for that more than anything. But he is a good actor."
“I know it’s the same person, I’ve been investigating it since she died. And I do take it personally that you think I’m a murderer who is cold enough to murder my own sister.”
