"Perhaps." Maroon walked past the incessant villain, putting a hand to his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart, hoping it wouldn't stop.

Ana chases after the boy. "I never caught your name. And also. I'm coming with you." She winks and follows him.

"That's the spirit!" Apoch grins at Maroon, taking the caramel apple from the little girl and sticking it in his mouth.

What boy are you talking about Hope?

Maroon turned towards her, face blank and adjusted the volume to decrease it, "Maroon." he smiled, a calm smile, one you would get from a sane person.

Ana returned his sane smile with another, fairly sane smile. All she had ever wanted was to not be lonely to prove her beauty and to get revenge. She didn't want to take over the world or steal the moon. Cleary Maroon had his priorities set as well.

It's cool. I was just confuzzled.

Maroon had plans. Not big plans. Just plans. He walked towards the direction of his dingy, beat-up apartment complex and made the volume go louder, to make sure the steady beat of the song would replace the unsteady beat of his heart.

Apoch finally decides he's caused enough havoc for one day. He beams up to his ship and prepares to invade London.

Maroon sat down on the bench before the entrance, waiting.

Ana sighed, she could hear the music pumping through Maroon's headphones and knew he would never hear her. Her boots clacked against the pavement lightly and her hair reflected the bright full moonlight. She wondered what he had planned.

Maroon was waiting for his blood to come back. He held his wrist, feeling his pulse, willing the blood to enter back into his body. It came, but after five minutes of nothingness.

Ana saw him do this. "You alright?"

Maroon nodded, his face devoid of emotion.

"Ya sure kid? I have some drinks back at my place if you want?"

The corners of Maroon's mouth lifted in amusement, "No."

"You want some drinks, don't you."

Maroon was annoyed, "No."

"Suit yourself. I for one am bored of these idiotic goons. Wanna come back to my place?" (Should they be love interests, gradually like one of those things where you start by hating the person, then fall in love with them?)

Maroon nodded, wary, "My nobel prize can wait, I guess."

Ana smiles and takes his hand. He holds back but she drags him along anyway. "Not one for festivities are you?" She says as they walk towards her flat.

"Nope." Maroon nodded.

"Hmm. Well that's fine. I'm not really in the mood anyway."

Maroon held his hand back, "Also, don't touch me."

Ana hesitates, then lets go. "Sorry."

Maroon smiled, "Thank you for apologizing."
