Zander watched as the base they had departed from shrunk from view, and thanked the man who had sacrificed himself. He turned to Lily who had her eyes closed, and decided to set her in a chair. As he put her down he saw her clothes were slowly turning red, she was bleeding.

Skylar closed her eyes, feeling the warmth from Peter as he let out his tears. She knew how he was feeling. Adam had died because of her. Jean had died because she hadn't been able to save her, and her parents… Well.. They weren't dead, but Skylar liked to believe that they were.

Blake picked the gun back up, standing rigidly on guard by the railings and patrolling back and forth, his boots producing a rhythmic noise upon the floor. He didn't know how else to help so he did what he was trained to do.
