"But yet they let their cats get take away." He pointed out, "Now I know your clan ant do anything about it, its not their fault the twolegs love your glittering pelts and fuller body's."

"And liking of water. Most cats apparently hate it. We can't stop cats from going out of the camp to hunt, so it's just expected to happen once or twice."

Sighing, he turned away form her, "I don't want the can to thing our kits are rogues or loners! What if we just told them they were ours? They couldn't kick them out, that's agents the code."

"But we don't want to get kicked out either, Oakleaf." Finchsong sighed. "In my case they'd probably just make Ashpaw into a full medicine cat early, and your past mentor can get on alright. I think this is the best way… what if we said we just found them? Then, they couldn't possibly be judged for their background because no one knows it!"

Sighing, he nodded and closed his eyes, "Ok, ok."
(I'll be off and on for a long time, my brothers are leaving this Wednesday and then we'll be busy the week after)

"Do you think that's a good plan? I want to have your opinion on this, Oakleaf. After all, they're your kits too."

"Really, I don't know what the best plane is." Oakleaf sighed, "All of this wasn't even suppose to happen."

"You're telling me. It feels like we were so much younger… younger and stupid." Finchsong shook her head. "But we couldn't just abandon them now. We made a choice, and now we have to deal with the consequences."

"We'll never abandon them." He said, "Never in a million moons, never."

"I know. I wasn't planning on it." Finchsong lay her head down beside the kits, who had fallen asleep.

"Lets just hope this rain ends, I want to get back on the trail." Sighing, he laid his head back down.

"The sky's getting a bit lighter. The worst of it should pass soon."

"It better pass faster." He muttered, eyes close and tail over head, he sighed and peeked a glance at Finchsong.

Finchsong's ears twitched slightly, and her eyes were closed. "Patience, darling." She sighed. "It'll be over when it's over."

Oaklead muttered some unknown words before becoming silent while outside the worst of the storm was overhead, blowing hard rain down upon the earth.

"What was that, Oakleaf?" Finchsong opened one eye and glanced over at him.

He murmured again before fluffing his tail over his face.

"Didn't catch that, darling." Finchsong opened her other eye, smirking.

"MUMmmmuummhhmmmamm." He muttered again, then curled up even tighter, "GO to sleep." He then said.

"Sorry, I think you'll have to speak up. I'm not feeling particularly tired, darling." Finchsong batted at Oakleaf's ears with her paw.

"Lvmm me alllown…" He muttered, "Me tiredd."

"Yeah, alright. You expect me to believe that? Come on; spill."

"I want this rain to end…." He sighed, glancing up and her, but saying nothing more.

"Considering you weren't speaking up earlier, I think it's something a little more than that. What is it?"

Sighing, he looked to her, "Just they'll be leaving with you, I'll only get to see them at gathering then."

Finchsong sighed as well. "Well, we could always conveniently go on patrols and such at the same time. Then you'd get to see them every once in a while."

"But wont it be odd if the medicine cat takes the cats she found on the journey with her? All the time? to the Windclan border?"

"Well, the kits seem adventurous already. What if they were to 'escape' while I was out looking for herbs, so I would bring them back? I don't know… it's hard, Oakleaf."

"Too hard…" He sighed, "Sometimes I wish we all could forget those borders and live together as one giant colony."

"Me too… perhaps someday, but unfortunately, that day is not today. Another moon, another many, our leaders may see a reason to unite the clans. I long for that day, but Starclan has told me nothing that would imply it happening in the near future."
