"No…here. Right here," Beau mumbled again as he shifted slightly, wincing faintly at his headache. One of his hands lazily motioned towards the space all around him before it dropped back to his side.

Vien sat there for a moment, confused as to what Beau meant. Suddenly he realized what he wanted Vien to do, and he felt his face heat up a little. He was internally cursing himself even as he was getting up to crawl onto the bed, trying to stay on the end of the bed furthest from Beau as he gulped

"Stupid Aristotle is talking to me again…" Beau mumbled softly as he shifted in his spot, wincing as the spirit's voice boomed in his head. The old spirit was going on and on about something that had happened in the last century, though Beau wasn't listening. Usually, after he communicated with another being, his mind often drifted into an odd area in his sleep, where he could see others; like spirits, memories, and invade other's dreams. Often times, he used the 'gray space' to see his little brother.

"Aristotle? Like the p-philosopher?" Vien asked curiously, rolling so he could look at Beau without getting any closer to him. He still couldn't shake the strange feeling in his chest as he laid there. He felt like he didn't belong, that Beau didn't really want him there, but he also found that he was happy he was on the bed next to him?

Deleted user

"No, no…it's an old spirit. He isn't half as smart as the…philosopher," Beau murmured tiredly, a few odd wisps of white smoke hovering around the palm of his hand. He had finally managed to shut Aristotle up as his mind surveyed the 'gray space' again. An odd feeling built up in his chest when he noticed that he could connect with Vien's mind somehow. No, he couldn't do that without asking. Remember the last time you tried that? It didn't go well, did it? A small voice chorus of whisper's hissed.

@_sleeby_rat_

"Huh," Vien responded quietly, watching the smoke around Beau's hand. He thought it was kind of funny, really. His magic relied on black smoke while Beau's appeared to be white. The longer he was around the other boy, the more he realized how different they looked but how similar they were

"I wish I had a familiar…like Baal. He says that…that we're friends now," Beau mumbled as a small yawn escaped his lips. Most of the times, when he sleep-talked, he wound of saying things that would embarrass him completely the next day. So far, he hadn't done anything too bad.

@_sleeby_rat_

Vien froze up a little as Beau spoke. He leaned over the bed to shoot Baal a look, but the creature had apparently disappeared. "I…I guess we c-count as friends," he resolved to mumble, burying his face in the corner of one of the pillows as he tried to take up as little space as possible

(0of we need le fluff. I legit so bored rn I can't jump in and nobody is on.)

"He said more stuff…about my hair color…," Beau went on to mumble as he shifted in his spot a little. "I don't remember all of it." He added, sighing faintly as he closed his hand, causing the white mist to dissipate.

@_sleeby_rat_

(yeah nobody's been on so we've just been doing this)
Vien's face heated up a bit at that. Oh, the next time Baal showed up, he was going to have words with the spirit. "Well…Your h-hair color is kind of cool. Natural white h-hair is nice," he mumbled. Not like my dark, ugly black hair, he thought to himself

"It used to be brown and my eyes used to be hazel…" Beau mumbled tiredly in his sleep, a small yawn escaping his lips. "Because of my powers, it started to fade to white and my eyes started to become blue…my whole family was scared of me. Even my little brother," He added quietly, the memories replaying in his head. At first, the powers seemed fun, until they began to get out of hand.

@_sleeby_rat_

Vien squinted at Beau for a moment, trying to imagine him with brown hair. "I think I like your w-white hair better. It's…unique," he mumbled, struggling for words. "But I can s-sympathize. When I first summoned Baal, my d-dad tried to kill them. And my mom t-thought I was a demon. Being a summoner in my family was looked down on."

Deleted user

"Unique…," Beau repeated, laughing softly as if he found the word humorous. His lips pursed into a line at the sound of what Vien's family had almost done to Baal. "Can you summon other things than Baal?" He asked quietly.

@_sleeby_rat_

Vien nodded. "Yeah. It d-depends on how much energy I want to use. Tiny things like spirits are easy, but creatures like Baal are a little more difficult. He's easier to s-summon because he takes energy from everything around him to stay here, but if I want to make him f-full sized it takes a lot more energy."

Beau nodded in understanding as he shifted in his spot again, the throbbing in his head disappearing. "You know, I thought you hated me at first…" He mumbled softly, Aristotle's voice booming in his head once again. "I'm glad we're friends."

@_sleeby_rat_

"I…I don't hate you," Vien mumbled, slightly muffled by the way he had his face pressed into the pillow. "You're too nice for me to h-hate you. Too nice to me, anyways."

A long pause stretched out between them as Beau began to wake up, starting to forget what they had been talking about. Something about hair… and spirits? He thought drowsily as he pushed himself to sit up, rubbing his eyes tiredly. "Did I fall asleep?"

@_sleeby_rat_

"Kind…of?" Vien answered sheepishly. He had thought Beau was awake this entire time. He shuffled back a bit on the bed instinctively, but in his haste to make himself take up as little space as possible he ended up falling off the edge of the bed with a squeak. He rubbed at his head, wincing a little before not even bothering to sit up

Deleted user

"Sorry, I do that sometimes…" Beau answered, trailing off as he felt his face heat up from embarrassment. He looked up towards where Vien had been, but instead heard a noise come from the ground. Laughing softly and pushing himself up, he walked towards the other side of the bed and looked down at Vien with a small grin. "Do you usually fall on the ground like that?" Beau teased as he kneeled down next to Vien.

@_sleeby_rat_

"No, not really. I suppose I've just f-fallen for you," Vien laughed, cracking a grin as he looked up Beau. He was trying to make a conscious effort to be a little more friendly, and even if he was really bad at it, he was at least getting somewhere with Beau

Deleted user

"Guess it's my turn to fall for you next," Beau added as he chuckled lightly, a soft grin making its way across his face. He sat down next to Vien, deciding that it would be easier to talk and also because he began to feel a little light-headed again.

@_sleeby_rat_

Vien felt his face heat up a little at Beau's words, but he did his best to ignore it. He folded his arms beneath his head, looking over at Beau. "I hope I wasn't b-bothering you too much earlier," he mumbled

Deleted user

"No, no, of course not. I'm usually never fully asleep, so I tend to talk." Beau answered, shifting a little in his spot next to Vien. He had hoped that Vien wouldn't have to see him sleeptalk, but it always happened with everyone at some point. "I should be sorry. My sleeptalking is kind of wierd…"

@_sleeby_rat_

"It's fine," Vien laughed, wincing a little as he bumped the burn on his arm against the back of his head. "Trust me, I've d-dealt with worse. My little sister used to sleepwalk, and she a-always looked like a ghost."

Deleted user

Beau smiled faintly at Vien's comment, glad that he hadn't made fun or been scared of him. He was honestly grateful that Vien had been so kind to him so far. "Does it still hurt?" Beau asked, motioning towards the burn on Vien's forearm as he looked towards him concernedly.

@_sleeby_rat_

"A little," Vien lied. It actually hurt a lot, but he couldn't bring himself to admit it. He didn't like to make a big deal of himself. He just didn't quite see the point. He resisted the urge to cover his arm back up again, glancing up at the ceiling

Deleted user

"Can I take a look at it?" Beau asked gently as he watched Vien's expression, sensing that there was something a little off with what he said, though Beau didn't press on. The last thing he wanted was for his friend to be in pain.

@_sleeby_rat_

"I guess," Vien mumbled, shifting to hold out his burned arm while he looked off to the side. He couldn't help but feel a bit self conscious, but he said nothing as he stared at a spot on the far wall

Deleted user

Beau leaned forward and studied the burn, making sure not to touch it. It seemed quite bad, though he was sure that he had seen a medical kit around somewhere. Pushing himself up, he moved towards the room's bathroom, quickly returning with a first aid kit before he sat back down in front of Vien again. "Is it okay if I touch it?" Beau asked gently, glancing up at Vien as he began to rummage through the medical supplies.
