Darren's head hurt and he was scared, a tear fell from his cheek, one he didn't know had left his eye. He opened his eyes to look at Lillian but could only make out a blurry shape, progress? His green, tear-laced eyes stared at Lillian, trying to focus.

My three best friends that I've had since grade school are all gone - they're supporting me in this. My mother and sister suffer while I do nothing. And everyone in the school hates me for something that I'd kill myself to erase!" Paige stopped. "So please. This is my choice. How can things-" she choked up a little, "possibly get better… for me?"
