Vien's eyes widened in realization. Oh. That scar. "No, it wasn't the Socials. It's o-old, don't worry about it," he assured him, rubbing at the back of his neck anxiously
Vien's eyes widened in realization. Oh. That scar. "No, it wasn't the Socials. It's o-old, don't worry about it," he assured him, rubbing at the back of his neck anxiously
Beau opened his mouth to ask another question, but quickly closed it as soon as he noticed Vien appear anxious. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring it up. You don't need to talk about it," He said softly, looking down at his hands as he swung his legs towards the side of the bed.
"No, it's okay, really," Vien assured him, running a hand absently through his messy hair. "I already showed you m-my locket, so I guess you'd be wondering about a l-lot of things."
Beau nodded faintly as he looked up towards Vien, leaning forward a bit to listen to what he would say. As much as he didn't want Vien to talk about his past, Beau wanted to know a bit about him.
Vien sat back down next to Beau, looking down at the sleeves of his oversized sweater. "I used to live in Birmingham. It was w-where my family had been for centuries. Everything was okay. Great, even. But then the murders s-started."
Beau looked towards Vien and listened to what he said, taking their hand in his own. He bit his bottom lip softly, hoping that the story wasn't hurting Vien to talk about.
"They thought I did it. I still d-don't know why, but they did. They took me away from my family, but when they found a b-bunch of books on witchcraft and mythology in our house, they burned it down before b-burning my family at the stake. The house fire is where I got the s-scar," Vien mumbled softly. He didn't regret it, not one bit. He had done it to save his little sister from a falling beam, and he had never regretted it
"I'm sorry, Vien. I wish I could have helped you somehow," Beau answered softly as he rubbed the back of Vien's hand gently with his thumb. Though, he wasn't very surprised that people would do something like that. Whenever there was something different then what they were used to, people always tried to push it away or even hurt it. Beau thought back towards what the Socials had said about seeing Vien with him. If news of that got out… Beau could only imagine what would happen.
"It's okay, love," Vien murmured. He leaned forward, pressing a gentle kiss to Beau's nose before moving to stand again. "But on a more s-serious topic, what do you want to eat? I think I've got p-pizza in the fridge somewhere."
"Pizza sounds good," Beau answered, chuckling lightly at the small joke that Vien had made. If only food was actually the more serious topic. "You know, at my house, pizza is a delicacy. It's almost sacred." He explained, a small grin making it's way onto his face as he pushed himself up slowly.
"Really? We get the shitty safeway p-pizza all the time since we don't have to actually cook or whatever," Vien said with a small laugh. He made his way over to the fridge, rummaging through it before pulling out a half-frozen pizza
"Shitty Safeway pizza is worshipped in my household," Beau answered, a light chuckle escaping his lips. He began to make his way towards Vien, one of his arms wrapped around his middle in an attempt to support himself some way. He tried to speed up his pace, though his faint limping looked like an elderly person trying to walk.
Vien laughed a little at the sight of Beau limping. "Love, you look like my father after he t-took one of my brother's camera stands to the knee. Sit on the counter or something, you dork," he chuckled before beginning to unwrap the pizza
Beau laughed at Vien's comment as he pulled himself up onto the counter with a sharp breath. "I didn't realize that I was such a dork," He answered, chuckling lightly as he leaned forward on his elbows and rested his chin on the palm on his hands, his legs swinging back and forth.
(Might have to go soon)
“Of course you are. You’re the m-most adorable dork in the world,” Vien chuckled. He finished unwrapping the pizza, setting it to the side while he preheated the oven
(k.)
"I thought we agreed that you're the most adorable," Beau answered, a teasing tone to his sentence as a small smile spread across his lips. He hummed in thought, watching Vien as he realized how lucky he was to have someone like him.
(I think I have a few but if I disappear randomly just assume I’ll be gone for about an hour)
“We did not agree on a-anything of the sort,” Vien hummed, walking over to Beau as he smiled. He leaned forward to press a few kisses to his cheek, humming happily as he did so
(Sounds good.)
"Well, I guess I decided that on my own then," Beau mumbled softly as he wrapped his arms around Vien's waist and leaned into them. A bright smile lit up his features, though it was an odd feeling for him to be smiling so widely.
“Oh my god, you’re such a d-dork,” Vien laughed, grinning at Beau as he leaned up to press a soft kiss to his nose
"At least I'm a hot dork, as you said earlier," Beau mumbled, a teasing tone obvious in his tone as a grin crossed his face. He pressed a few soft kisses to Vien's neck and collarbone as he leaned forward a bit. "You know, I'm taller than you now."
“Only because you’re sitting on my c-counter,” Vien laughed, running a hand through Beau’s hair affectionately before kissing his forehead
"I should sit on counters more often," Beau answered, laughing softly as he leaned into Vien's touch. A goofy smile remained on his face no matter how much he told himself to stop smiling.
“Just don’t f-fall and hurt yourself,” Vien laughed. There was a ding from the oven, and he moved to put the pizza inside it. “Think that’ll be r-ready in about 20 or so.”
Beau nodded as he swung his legs back and forth, his gaze studying Vien for a few moments. A small grin crossed his face as he looked down, shaking his head faintly. How he had managed to find someone like Vien…he would never know.
“What?” Vien asked curiously, stepping so that he was standing in front of Beau with either hand at the other boy’s sides. “You know, you’re c-cute when you laugh,” he said, pecking Beau on the nose gently
"I'm just thinking about how lucky I am to have you," Beau answered softly as his hands wrapped around Vien's waist, a small laugh and smile escaping him as Vien kissed his nose.
“Aww,” Vien teased, despite the blush working its way into his cheeks. “I’m l-lucky to have you too, my adorkable boyfriend,” he murmured
"Adorkable," Beau repeated, laughing when he heard the word as he leaned into Vien. "You're the cutest, most adorable and hottest boyfriend in the universe." He teased, smirking a bit as if he knew that Vien couldn't counter that.
"And you're the c-cutest, hottest, most adorable b-boyfriend in the whole multiverse," Vien protested, grinning as he looked at Beau. He couldn't counter that, could he?
"You're-" Beau started, but stopped and released a faint sigh as a small smile crossed his face. "Fine, you win. But, you're still the cutest." He finished, pouting a bit as he pressed a soft kiss to Vien's lips.
