"How did I know?" He asked, trying to finish the sentence.
(Yeah!)
"Yeah," she asked, pain and awe glazing her expression.
(Btw Darren's friend Brody is throwing a surprise party for Darren so he feels supported through his cancer thing… Paige is invited)
(omg don't stop!)
(So, this is probably going to sound really dramatic, but Darren and Paige could sleep together. But they'd be cuddling as friends to support each other and maybe watching a movie or something and accidentally fall asleep. Then Lillian could see them all "lovey-dovey" ((even though they aren't really)) and flip out on them in the morning and wake them up or whatever. Like I said, really dramatic, so…)
"I know what it feels like when someone you care about leaves you behind, I've had the feeling of being lost and not knowing what to do," He sighed, he wasn't even sure Lillian knew the full story, "When I was 9 my mom died from cancer and she was my best friend, after that my dad left me with my grandparents for almost 2 years before he came back. I barely knew my grandparents, the two people I cared for most left me and I was lost too." He smiled weakly at her, "You need to find someone to help you find your way,"

(oof! Yes! I love this kind of drama!)
Paige lowered her gaze and stared at her hands. It was true, so blatantly true. Then why did she try to deny it?

(Okay! So we can leave off falling asleep ((take our time tho)) and wait for Shade to pick up in the morning.)
"I'm here for you Paige, I'll help you as much as I can so you don't feel so lost. okay?" he looked at her, "I really don't want to lose you,"
(Sounds good! I PM/DM-ed her so if she reads that first she knows whats going on)
Paige suddenly looked up and flung her arms around Darren's neck. She began to cry. (Oh Lordy, what if he brainfarts and thinks that she's Lillian? :O)
(Lol. The tumor could mess with his brain.)
Darren hugged her tight, "You matter, always remember that,"
"Thank you, Darren," Paige sighed. She relaxed her head on his shoulder.
"Anything," he smiled as he leaned back on the couch. "Are you going to need to stay here for the night, cause it's fine if you do."
"Yeah," Paige sighed, curling into his chest.
Darren nodded, "Stay as long as you need," he hugged her tight to himself.
Paige yawned. She really loved Darren - as a friend. She knew that he'd always be there for her. "Darren?"
"Yeah?"
"Can I ask you something? You don't have to answer if you don't want to," she added quickly. It was a personal question.
He laughed a little, "Sure, what's up?"
"Where did your father go?" A second of ringing silence followed the question. "You, um… don't have to answer," Paige reinstated hesitantly.
Darren nodded, "He went and spent all his money on a vacation and alcohol. He's been drunk ever since. I think it's so he doesn't have to feel the pain of losing her, ya know?"
"Yeah," Paige replied thoughtfully before yawning widely again.
"Are you tired already?" he smiled.
"A little," Paige admitted shyly. She was good friends with Darren, but she hadn't spent a lot of time around him lately. She stifled her next yawn.
"We can go upstairs, I have a guest room unless you don't think you can be alone then we can put in a movie or something in my room." He loosened his hug a little, "If that's something you want." He didn't want to push her.
"I fall asleep better when I watch movies," Paige replied. And Lillian is sleeping in the guest room, doesn't Darren know that?
