Jake looked up and saw Theo walking behind a woman, he assumed it was his mother and waved.

Theo waved back has they came up the steps. His mother Carmyn reached out her hand and said, "You must be Jake, my name is Carmyn. Are you parent's home my wife and I just wanted to welcome you guy's to the neighborhood."

Jake took her hand and smiled, "Yeah they're inside, you can go in,"

(We left off right here)

“Alright, Theo you don’t have to come in. It will only be a moment I don’t want to impose on Jakes family,” Carmyn said as she opened the door.

“Okay,” Theo replied watching his mom enter the house. Turning to Jake, he smiles and points to the spot next to him. “Is it okay if I sit there?”

Jake turned and nodded to Theo, "Mom forcing you to talk to the neighbors?"

“Sorta? She asked if I wanted to come with her and I said sure,” Theo said as he sat next to Jake.

"Oh, I see," He laughed, not really good at socializing.

Theo chuckled a bit and pointed to the guitar in Jake’s lap. “How long have you been playing?”

Jake looked down at his guitar, "Uhh, since I was 13, so 4 years."

“That’s awesome, I can’t play a musical instrument at all so i applaud you for being able to play,” Theo said grinning.

"I just have this and the piano," he smiled cooly, "My mom forced me to learn Piano when I was younger and it's not half bad so,"

“Do you want to be a musician after you graduate or is it more of a Hobby?,” Theo asked.

He shrugged, "I think it's more of a hobby than a career choice for me, but I wouldn't complain if it had to be my career,"

“Yeah,” Theo said not sure how to keep things from being an awkward silence.

(I kind of built the character around the idea that they weren't accepting of him so probably not too supportive, but they are kind people so they wouldn't be mean about it)

"So what're your hobbies?"

“I love Photography, not as cool as being able to play an instrument but it’s really fun.”

"It just as cool. It's all art which is a talent most people don't have,"

Theo’s smile brightened as he said,”I guess so, I also love to read and write. What other hobbies do you have?”

"I was on a swim team at my old school, if that counts as a hobby," He shrugged, "I also like learning different languages, it's a weird thing to like, but it's fun,"

“Nah I don’t think it’s weird. I honestly wish I was raised to be bilingual. Although I can barely speak English which is the only langauage I know,” Theo said jokingly.

He laughed, "My dad is Filipino and didn't speak much English so that's how I became obsessed." He kept a smile, "Too much Filipino and Cebuano in my childhood."

Theo was about to reply when he heard the door open and voices talking. Turning around he spots Jakes parents standing at the front door as his mom exits.

Jake looked up and smiled kindly at Theo's mom. He vaguely wondered how his parents reacted to the newcomers.
