"Ha, you don't want to know." she smirked, like it was some sort of inside joke.
"Ha, you don't want to know." she smirked, like it was some sort of inside joke.
"Are you sure?"
"She's having a secret affair with one of the Sergeants, and is already a married woman. Basically, I just got some blackmail power over her." Samantha explained.
"That's nice." He said with a smirk.
"Well, let's see the-" she was about to say corpse when she stopped. "No, no, I saw something. What did I see? There was a-a thing! It was a clue! Dammitdammitdammit!"
"What clue?!"
"I forgot! Shut up, I'm thinking!"
"Okay then!"
Samantha ran down an alleyway. "I'll be right back!" she shouted.
"Got it!" He shouted back as he observed the corpse, "First of all, what weapon was used to kill this person?" He thought out loud as he kept looking at the corpse.
"None. No internal or external damage, no signs of poisoning. We don't know what killed them, sadly. Like all the other corpses." Greyson said.
He looked startled and looked at Greyson, "Did they get strangled? Drowned? or did they get caught in a fire?"
"No, it's as if they died from old age-without the aging."
"How is that possible?"
"Well, it seems that the heart just stopped. Well, that was our theory. But then more bodies showed up and we had to investigate. Or Samantha did, anyhow."
"And she drags me along with her most of the time. Maybe a heart attack?"
"Well, that's what we guessed. It could be a poison that leaves no trace but….. " Greyson shrugged.
"But what, sir?"
"It's a far-fetched theory. We've run every test and still haven't found anything to prove or disprove it."
"What if it's something else? Like a disease that he forced into them?"
"Possibly, but that's still as likely as the poison theory."
"Okay then."
"By the way, where has Samantha run off to?" Greyson asked.
"I don't know, she said to wait for her here." He replied.
"Oh bother, she's always running off and getting into trouble." he said. There was a dark figure on top of a nearby building, it looked both ways and then disappeared.
"I've seen that first-hand. Who's that?" He asked as he pointed at the dark figure before it disappeared.
"Who's who?" Greyson asked, turning to look. "There's no one there."
"There was a dark figure there a second ago."
"Oh? I'll send a few men over to check it out. You might as well go home now, she's not going to come back any time soon."
"It's fine, i'll wait for her. She might be pissed at me if I don't."
