Ellen smiled a bit at the joke. "I rested. Got nothing but nightmares in return…"

Seth nodded. "That always sucks." she tilted her head thoughtfully. "If I were an elephant, I'd team up with a giraffe who would stand on my back while I walked around, and I'd make bank from people who pay to see an elephant walking around with a giraffe on it's back." she said.

Ellen giggled. "You'd have my money if I had any!"

conner looked confused "what?"

Seth grinned. "I meant what I said, I said what I meant. An elephant's faithful 100%."

Ellen chuckled. "Do we have toast Connor? I'm hungry."

"Do you have any icecream, too? I'm going to need to stock up I don't know how long I'll be in my lab."

Ellen tugged at the strap of her overalls. "How long do you usually stay in there?" She asked.

Seth shrugged. "Depends on how long it takes to finish my design. Or at least work on it till I'm satisfied with it. The longest was probably a coupl weeks, only leaving for snack breaks." She shook her head. "Sometimes I don't leave until I realise I need a shower."

Ellen nodded. "Is it alright if I hang out with you?" She asked in a quiet voice.

Seth smiled. "Of course. I love company!" Her smile morphed into a frown. "Unless it's rats. Those little demons befriend you and then run away with your food." she shook her head. "Adorable little double-crossers."

Ellen nodded, relieved. She didn't feel like being left alone at the moment. "There were a lot of pesky little rats in Praxidis Station."

conner quickly made 2 slices of toast and handed them to Ellen "here you go Ellen." conner then walked to the cockpit "what's the next port again?"

Seth shook her head. "Yeah, rats are everywhere. No way to get rid of them." She started heading down the hall to her lab. "Unless the rats learn to get jobs and pay for their own food, we're going to have to keep filling our prisons with the little thieves."

Ellen nodded to Connor before following Seth down the hall, munching on her toast. "Some of 'em were kind of stupid to. Walking right into a rat trap!"

Seth opened the door to her lab, and sighed. "When will they learn?" she picked up one of the broken crates, sorting through the bits. "I think I can still use some of these pieces."
