"Not really. I know how to play piano though. Very well, in fact."
"Not really. I know how to play piano though. Very well, in fact."
Ryan smiled, "You have a nice singing voice from what I've heard." He laughed, "Did Darren's voice surprise you?"
"Lillian," Paige said, taking the waters from Darren.
"What voice?"
Belle giggled. "Thanks. And it did. Just a small bit. The prettiest voices come from the people that you least expect."
Darren sat down next to Lillian and put a hand on her leg.
"Lillian, what voices?" Paige repeated.
“In my head. The voice that yells and screams and never leaves me alone,” As Lillian spoke her voice got louder until she shouted the ast word.
Ryan nodded, "Yeah Darren's voice has always been incredible, I'd like to hear you two do a duet. That would be amazing," He laughed playing the guitar softly.
Darren moved closer to Lillian putting an arm around her.
"Who?" Paige tried not to yell.
Lillian whispered the word. It was like she was afraid that the voice would come, “M-my mom.”
"Aw, that would be nice." She sighed lightly. "I wish there was a piano. My sister was the guitarist. Maybe you could teach me?" She asked shyly, blushing slightly.
"Absolutely, I'd love to teach you! I have one condition and it has to do with terms of payment," He smiled mischievously.
She flushed. "W-what is the condition?"
Paige felt like she'd been smacked. Her hands were covered in Lillian's blood. Lillian's blood. Never wanted, never needed. Her heart picked up the pace.
"I get to buy you dinner and you don't have a say on when,"
Belle's face flushed of all color but tried to stay calm. "Is that all? I can live with that. I'll take it."
Lillian looked at Paige. She scratched at the uncovered cuts, “P-Paige?”
The worst thoughts rolled through Darren's head. Maybe this was his fault, maybe he wasn't good enough for her, he should've been able to stop this, or at least know it was happening.
Belle's face flushed of all color but tried to stay calm. "Is that all? I can live with that. I'll take it."
"Okay then! Prepare to learn from the best!" He smiled at Belle.
"No!" Paige yelled, tears in her eyes as she yanked her friend's hands away. NEVER WANTED. GO AWAY. "Lillian, I'm sorry."
Belle burst into a smile. "Yay! Thank you!"
Lillian whimpered and moved away. She scratched harder as the voice came back. No no no!
Darren looked like he was going to tackle Paige but only for a moment before settling back down.
"NO!" Paige pinned Lillian's hands over her head so she couldn't scratch.
"STOP!" Darren yelled at Paige involuntarily.
Lillian struggled as she whimpered. The voice was at a speaking tone now.
Paige instantly released Lillian, stood up and backed away. No one wants me, I'm not wanted. No one wants me, I'm not wanted.
"Stop," He said quieter as he took Lillian's hands in his own, "You don't need to do that,"
