"Yeah I got into the habit of carrying one around. I had a friend who would ask for one randomly." He turned to Conner. "Was it awful or was it just a regular one?"

"Thanks." Mariko nodded and turned towards Conner, worry in her eyes.

"Shh! Don't ruin their moment." Gaia whispered to Conner.

conner looked to gaia "what?….. oh…ooooooooh" conner looked back to Ellis "from the sounds of it she had an awful one. i'll… let you two to be…" conner walked to the kitchen

"Moment? What?" She flushed red, sneaking a look at Ellis.

Gaia giggled. "Can you feel the love tonight." She sang and whispered as she walked away.

Ellis rolled his eyes. "Ignore them."

Gaia laughed. "They are so in denial."

Just ignore them. I don't like Ellis, he doesn't like me. We're just friends. She looked at him again, face about as red as a cherry. But maybe I want to be more. Mari blocked the thought from her head and stared at the ground. "Yeah, ignore them. . "

I mean, they're right.
"Are you hungry?"

"Not really. I'm not sure I'll be able to eat anything." The memory of a demon pushing down her throat filled her mind and made her shake her head, trying to clear it.

Ellen nodded as Connor left. She rubbed her jacket sleeve over her sweat drenched forehead. She shuddered, pulling out the photo of her and her mom, folding her hands over it and pressing it close to her heart. At least it can't hurt you mom. Wherever you are in the afterlife. She frowned as the demons words came back. 'Don't be so sure.' What did that mean?

"I understand." He thought for a moment. "Hey, why don't you go rest like you said you would!"

"Okay. I should get to my room." Mari hadn't been in her room for about a year and a half, as she usually slept in the control room. It has a bed, so it should be comfortable.

Ellis nodded. "I'm gonna go check on the cockpit."
