//lmao yep

“Fair enough, they were kind of gruesome,” she shrugged, picking up a sword. Shifting into position in front of the dummy, she glanced at him and said, “If you don’t want to do it, you might want to figure out a way to calm yourself down..”

@Fraust

"R-Right…" Maddox pulled out his bow, running his fingers along the wood. Quite frankly, the thought of him having to kill a person with it terrified him. The only things he had ever shot were targets, or trees. He felt incredibly small, weak, and incompetent here. He definitely didn't belong, and was sure to be killed quickly. Whatever… there's nothing you can do about it, so just calm down for now. It'll all be over soon anyways…

@ImNotCrazyImAFangirl

//do they have tridents in the training center?

Lena slashed a few times, not doing well but not horribly either. I hate swords. So unbalanced and clunky.

@Poppy

An official started escorting the districts to the fitting rooms, one by one. Scared, Fawn struggled a little bit before letting the guard guide her.

@Fraust

Maddox followed his guard in silence, not sure where they were going but not really wanting to know either. He put his bow away as they walked and glanced around anxiously.

Maize frowns at the slight touch the guard makes at his arm, directing him out of the training room. On edge ever since his name was pulled from the bowl, it's all he can do not to shrug away and lash out.
It all still feels like a dream, but a dream that you know is a dream…..and you know when it will end…..and that would be all well and good if not for his family….Live for them. Make it back for them. He reminds himself, but the heavy, constant fear nearly crowds the mantra from his mind, telling him to just take it and give up.

@ImNotCrazyImAFangirl

Lena slowly followed the guards, arms crossed and mind whirling. She was furious. She’d done everything she could to avoid this situation - lying about tesserae (her father wanted her name in, even if she didn’t need it). Making herself undesirable. But somehow, she ended up in it.

(@I'M_A_DEMIGOD_BANANA, I noticed an aspect of Hazel's story that doesn't quite make sense. In her backstory it says, "Father died at age 11 in The Games." ?!)

@10yson

(sorry i've been busy with finals at school, I'll be more active from now on though)
After being led down the long hallway and into a small room, Axiom was finally able to be process recent events. Everything was a colorful blur since he was swept away from his rather small family. These tributes he just watched so carefully-no these killers, he tried fathom that these people, kids, were soon to be his worst nightmare.

@Lenered

Nicola hugged himself, shivering as the guards escorted him out of the training room. He was going to die. The Games were full of bloodshed and death and he didn't know how in the world he would ever be able to kill.

Vixen kept her head held high as she and the other District 12 tribute were lead towards the fitting rooms, where they would change for the live capitol interviews held tonight. "Might as well pretend to be strong- get myself more sponsers, maybe allies.." Keeping a steely gaze, she pretended to pay attention as the stylists talked at her about her dress, when in reality, she hoped that she would be able to survive to avenge her fallen siblings, and prayed for forgivness from whatever God could hear her, for the sins she would soon commit.

@Poppy

Fawn stumbled in the cowboy boots. The cow patterned dress itched as they fixed her hair in pigtail braids. District 10. Livestock. Although this is a little over the top. At least sponsors by see me as innocent, cute. "What is your token?" The designer tightened the ribbons in her braids. Fawn pulled out the picture of Honey, and the designer awed. She rambled through a drawer, pulling out the last finishing touch. The designer headed towards Fawn, and put on a sparkling pair of cat ears on her head. Fawn tried to giggle but it came out more of a cry.

Vixen looked in the mirror, honestly surprised at how she looked. Having seven siblings, she never had nice clothes or even tried to look nice for that matter, having shown up to the reaping in jeans and a leather jacket. The long sleeveless dress she was now wearing was sparkling black, resembling coal. Well, it was at least better than that one year when the district 12 tributes wore nothing than coal dust… She shivered a little out of embarresment for them. She turned around again, getting used to the feeling of the long skirt and the heels. The designer walked over and smiled at her, before saying, "Carful, you don't smudge the makeup." She had a point. Black and grey eyeshadow, small clear gemstones put near the corners of her eyes, almost like tears, and the carefully painted on lipstick that made her look extremly girly, yet somehow threatening at the same time. The designer added the finishing touch to her hair, a small hair pin made of grey dove feathers, her token. After the reaping, Vixens brother had insisted she take it. It was supposed to be her birthday present, but because of the standards, it was given to her now.

Lena took a deep breath as the stylist finished up with her hair. A fishing net was cast over it, almost like a veil of sorts. A few fake starfish and shells were scattered through it. A gauzy blue piece of fabric spread across her back, like a weak imitation of a wave. The dress was a mermaid style one, made of a swirling mix of blues and greens. Occasionally a piece stuck out, glittering with fake sea foam. Her neck was surrounded by it.
In short, she hated it. But there was nothing she could do, so she grit her teeth and let them apply makeup.

@I'M_A_DEMIGOD_BANANA

Hazel was over at the spears, trying to throw one successfully. "It's just like hunting animals for the family," she told herself. She missed the chest of the target, leaning down to pick up another one she hears laughter from the careers. Picking herself up she aimed and hit the target almost spot on. "Once in a lifetime chance." she told herself.

@Lenered

The fitting rooms had been a surprise, but had immediately gotten Nicola excited. District 2 specialized in masonry, so he wasn't really sure what he was going to wear. Hopefully nothing stone-like. They gave him a winged helmet made of steel and placed it on his head. It's so heavy. A steel chestplate was put over his chest and they filled in the rest with stylish pieces of armor. I'm a knight? Cool. Still heavy. Nicola wished that he could've dressed himself.

This is it? Maize thinks in surprise and relief. The yellow suit is simple; gaudy, yes, but simple by capital standards. His stylist has applied just enough makeup to make him look TV-flawless, but having never worn the stuff before it feels caked on. He tugs at the cuffs of his yellow sleeves and lets out a shaky, nervous breath. Tonight he's going to have to look strong, be strong; he doubts himself, but he can't let any possible sponsors in the audience see any of that.

Vixen snuck around the corner, trying to find something interesting to do before she was found missing and herded back up. The other district 12 tribute and her were supposed to hang out with each other, but after him just silently staring at her exposed back for the full time, she had left, wanting to get as far away as she could from that pervert. She yanked the dress skirt up as she tiptoed down the stairs so she wouldn't trip. Who knows, maybe she'd find another tribute before they started to search for her.

((Agriculture, though 11 is mostly known for its orchards, if that helps?))

@Fraust

Maddox stood silently as he was 'decorated' by the stylist. He wasn't entirely sure what the woman was doing, but it seemed to be themed around apples. Orchards, agriculture, of course… A red powder was applied to his cheeks, presumably to make them look rosy, and some sort of apple clip or pin was put in his fluffy hair. I feel like a girl… why is she putting makeup and stuff on me? He was told to put on a pair of overalls, also decorated with apples and such.

Vixen continued wandering around, honestly bored out of her mind. She didn't want to start thinking about her family or the games just yet, so she quickly tried to find something to distract herself. Seeing a closed door ahead of her, she quietly walked over and leaned into it, listening to see if anyone was talking. To her disappointment, it was just a stylist talking to some poor tribute. She walked off again, staring at the ceiling, just now noticing all the hidden cameras in the walls and roof.

@Fraust

Lots of apples… Maddox looked down at himself before leaving the room, as the stylist was finished. He almost bumped into another tribute as he exited. "Oh! Sorry! I didn't see you there." He felt very small in this whole ordeal, being one of the youngest here and definitely one of the least experienced. He was overwhelmed with the feeling that he didn't belong.

Whirling around to look at who was there, she noticed it was one of the tributes, one of which she had seen at the training earlier. She looked over him, cringing a little at how gaudy it was. "Don't worry about it, that's kinda my purpose, not to be seen," she laughed a little at her own joke. "So then, I'm assuming you're District Eleven," Vixen slightly waved her hand at his outfit.

@Fraust

"Yeah… the theme thing is kinda stupid. She put makeup on me! I thought only women wore makeup?" Maddox put a hand to his cheek, looking down at the strange pinkish powder that had come off when he pulled it away. "It's strange… I think she put apple perfume or something on me too…"

Deleted user

Laughing harder now at his reaction, she smirked a little and said, "Well, just take a look at the Capitol, they obviously break that sterotype. I agree though, with the theme thing being stupid. Well, the whole Hunger Games in general is stupid.." She shook her head slightly, then made eye contact with one of the cameras on the wall. Looking back at the tribute, she then said, "Well, I wouldn't put it past them to put perfume on you. If it makes you feel better you can tell people it's cologne."
