Ferran nodded. "I had a panic attack and had to go to the medic cus I would have electrocuted myself to death. He gave me a pacifier so I'm good now."

"That was you? T-They sent me there too, and I froze several things by accident… then the medic pulled out this huge needle and stabbed me with it."

"Yeah he did the same to me."
The alarm started blaring. Ferran flinched. "What now?"

Maddox jumped, hiding behind Ferran. Please don't take me in there again!

Koko gasped at the alarm. What was it now…?

A voice came over the speaker. "Head to bunker 107. Remain calm."
"I am not remaining calm." Ferran mumbled.

"Bunker 107? W-What're they talking about?" Maddox looked up at Ferran anxiously.

"We have bunkers under the compound." Ferran blinked. "You didn't know?"

"N-No, I don't pay attention to those lectures." It felt as though his throat were closing up, and he couldn't breath. His chest tightened and Maddox clung to Ferran's arm.

"Hey, calm down. It'll be fine. C'mon." He start leading him to the stairs near the training center.

Maddox followed, seeing stars. What's going on? What could have happened that requires us to go to a bunker? His hair started freezing again, and he looked up at the sky as though expecting to see bomber aircraft or something.

Getting up, she silently walked down the stairs.

The order was repeated again, but was cut off in the middle. The sirens fell silent. Everything was quiet.

"What happened The… t-the speakers… they stopped!" Maddox moved closer to Ferran's side, panicking.

Ferran put his arm around him. "I don't know….."
The crunch of leaves under foot echoed off the walls of the towering buildings. A man appeared around the corner. He didn't look particularly threatening, with black framed glasses and a cheery smile spread across his face. "Hello! Where are you headed?" He chirped.

Something about the man's cheerful facade made Maddox wary of him. "Who are you? I-I've never seen you around here before…" He brushed some of the ice from his hair.

"I'm Victor Ayala, at your service! And you are?" He gestured.
Ferran squinted. "Josh. I'm Josh and this is Martin."

"Martin? Oh! Y-Yes, my name is Martin." It took Maddox a second to realize what Ferran was doing.

Victor nodded. "Lovely names. Why are you on this compound? Only supers are allowed here after all."

Maddox looked up at Ferran, more ice forming on his face and hair. Should we tell him? I mean, mine's pretty obvious…

Victor glanced at Maddox. "Ah, so you are. At least, Martin is. Excellent."
Ferran took deep breaths, trying to keep himself from shocking the entire compound. "I am as well."

Maddox shied away from Victor, folding his wings closely to his back. Even the pacifier couldn't stop his powers when he was scared like this.

Victor smiled. "Good. If you would both follow me I can get you to safety and we can all have tea. Deal?"

"Are you going to the bunker?" Maddox asked before quickly covering his mouth with a hand. Don't tell him where you're going, stupid! You can't trust him!

Victor raised an eyebrow. "Why no. I was gonna take you to my place."
Ferran frowned. "And where would that be?"
Victor smirked. "You'll see. Come along!"

Maddox looked up at Ferran again, as though asking whether they could trust the man. He wasn't going to go with Victor without Ferran, that much was clear. If an emergency arose, he wouldn't be able to protect himself alone.

Ferran thought for a moment, then nodded. "Okay, let's go."
Victor smiled again and turned on his heel. "This way!"

I'm not sure this is a good idea, but I'll go if Ferran is… Maddox followed, still holding tightly onto Ferran's arm and looking around nervously as they went.
