"Well let's face it babe, Darren, is childish. Definitely add it to the list."

Lillian laughed, "That is so true. Being added. Got anything else to add?"

"We should get a dance floor," Brody suggested, "He's always been into the whole slow dance with your girl thing. He would say it wasn't a party unless he got to dance with you."

Lillian smiled and blushed at the thought. Then the memory, her blush grew deeper, "Yeah. Adding that to the list."

Brody's smile faded quickly he reached out and put his hand over Lillian's still not meeting her eyes, "Lillian?" He took a deep breath, "How's he doing? He doesn't really tell me and we don't hang out as much as we used to."

Lillian put a hand reassuringly over Brody's, "He's doing fine. I'm making sure of it. Sure, he hates the chemo and tried to stop eating. But that's not happening under my watch. He's fine."

Brody nodded, "You're saving his life, you know? It would be weird to hug you for it."

Lillian let out a short laugh, "Would it be? Am I really?"

"He needs you more than he'll ever let you believe. He'll be there for you and he'll do anything for you, but what he doesn't tell you is that he's not as strong as everyone thinks. His life has been hard, so yes, you are saving him whether you think so or not." Brody looked up at her.

Lillian half smiled at him, "Thanks. Now lets finish planning this thing!"

Brody nodded, "Who are we all inviting?"

"Who's he close to on the football team?" Lilian asked.

Brody laughed, "He's our quarterback, he is the football team, he's close with everyone."

Lillian smiled, "So everyone there I guess. I can cover the theater kids, he's pretty close with most of them."

Brody nodded, "Should we invite his dad and his brother?"

(Oh good. I was so confused for a moment.)

Lillian blinked once, "He has a brother?"

Brody laughed like she was making a joke, "Yeah very funny, should we invite them or not?"

Lillian shook her head and repeated, "He has. A brother?"

Brody looked at her confusedly, "Yeah, Cooper, how do you not know about his brother?"

Lillian lifted her hands up in the air, "He never told me! Oh he is so dead when I get back."

Brody sighed, "I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything,"

(Lillian: YOU HAVE A FUCKING BROTHER AND DIDN'T TELL ME?! YOU ARE SO GETTING THE TROMBONE!)

Lillian sighed, "It's fine. Yeah we should invite him."

"Him and his brother fight a lot but I'm sure he's coming home for Thanksgiving anyway." Brody said checking the time. "I have to get going pretty soon."

Lillian got up and sighed, "I'll call Darren so I can get a ride home. See ya Brody."

(Lillian: It better be the best fucking explanation I have ever heard.)

"Okay, See you later." He was about to walk away before adding, "Don't kill him okay? I'm sure he has his reasons."
