"Perhaps you're right," Dalton said following after Maeve and looking out for a map.
"Perhaps you're right," Dalton said following after Maeve and looking out for a map.
Keeping an eye on the walls, Maeve eventually found a map. Pointing her finger at the sign of YOU ARE HERE, she then noticed DINING HALL. Bingo. Nodding at Dalton, she informed him, "Forward."
Dalton made a point about fixing his hair in his reflection before moving forward where the map had instructed. "So, tell me about yourself."
"So far I've lived a content, quiet life. A little too quiet, considering I didn't make much effort to have friends… I guess now my family wants a change. …I want change."
"That's good," Dalton smiled, "I'm told change is a good thing."
"I suppose it depends on the change, right?" Maeve noticed where they were. "I believe we've come to our destination."
Dalton looked around, "Appears that way. Now I am very hungry."
"Shall we?" she asked, enraptured by the smell of the food.
"We shall!" He said going in to get food. When he got his food he found a table and sat down, he began eating without hesitation.
Picking her desired food of choice and setting the plate down on the table, Maeve ate her pasta with delight. "Delicious…"
"Oh quite!" He responded, his plate almost cleared. "They told me not to eat so fast." He laughed.
"I was sure you'd choke with the speed you were going," she admitted, chuckling.
"Me as well to be honest." He smiled.
"Oh… I don't think I can even finish this now… My stomach is so full."
"Are you serious?" He laughed, "Because I will most definitely eat that for you."
"Go ahead. If I eat anymore, I'll get a stomachache," She pushed the plate of biscuits and pasta aside to Dalton.
Dalton devoured most of it quickly, "If they could see me know," He laughed.
"I'm sure they'd be horrified," Maeve smiled. This wasn't how she expected the day to go, it was better than what she had in mind.
"Oh yes, I am very sure of that," Dalton nodded his smile faded as he looked down at the plate.
Closing her eyes, Maeve scolded herself. She always had to make everything go wrong, huh?
Dalton's face brightened up again, "So now what shall we do?"
Oh. That was quick. "Why don't we find out our roommates? The waiter said the list has been posted by room one," she suggested.
Dalton stood up and as always brushed his suit, "Let's go then"
Pushing herself up, she followed him.
Dalton stood outside of room one looking confused at the paper in front of him.
Noticing his expression, she asked, "What is it?"
"I don't have a clue what I'm looking at, maybe you should read it." Dalton said taking a step back.
"It's stating our roommates, right? I guess I'm with… Elara and you're bunking with… Alexander. Yeah." She raised an eyebrow, "Hoe couldn't you understand that?"
He shrugged, "Tired I guess. Who's this Alexander?"
"No idea. You're as stumped as I am on these people."
