A blush spreads over Seths face from embarresment as soon as he realized he forgot to say such a simple thing. "Uh, is the Starbucks on Clark and River street okay? It's just a little ways away from the campus, if you don't know where I'm talking about."
Amethyst smiled, though she knew he couldn't see it.
"Perfect. I'll see you then," she replied, grabbing her keys from the cupholder where she had tossed them. "I should go, now. Homework and all, ya know?"
"Yeah, I understand," he said, glancing at his backpack full of work of his own. "I'll see you tomorrow at three then! Have a good night!" Happy that she had decided to look over his huge slip up, he smiled a little, thankful he hadn't screwed it all up.
"You, too." Amethyst hung up, still smiling as she put the keys in the ignition and started her car. Seth's slip-up made her laugh a bit as she drove back to her apartment.

It was 2 o'clock in the afternoon, one hour before Amethyst was supposed to meet Seth, and she was currently staring blankly at her closet. She had no idea what to wear, but, thankfully, she knew someone who would. Katie had shown up just in time to save Amethyst from banging her head against the wall in frustration. Katie laughed as Amethyst opened the door for her looking flustered. It could be pretty hard to confuse the girl to that point!
"Don't worry, Ames. I've memorized your closet by now, so it shouldn't take me too long to find something for you!" Katie exclaimed as she walked determinedly towards her friend's bedroom.
True to her word, it only took her approximately two minutes to find what she was looking for. She held out the casual, black dress with a triumphant grin and sang, "Ta-da!"
Amethyst smiled back and went into the bathroom to change. She came out and stood in front of Katie, who motioned for her to twirl for her. The girl obliged and spun once, before stopping to give her friend a big hug.
"Thanks, Katie. You're the best," she said, squeezing her.
Katie laughed. "I know I am," she joked haughtily, winking. "Poor Seth isn't gonna know what hit him when he sees you!"
Amethyst colored slightly, but she laughed it off, saying, "Well, I hope he doesn't think I'm trying too hard because of this dress. It's a little fancy, isn't it?"
"No, no! It's actually perfect! Not too fancy, but not too casual either!" Katie exclaimed. She checked her phone for the time, then raised her eyebrows in surprise. Shoving Amethyst back towards the bathroom, she told her to finish getting ready. Only fifteen minutes were left before she was supposed to meet Seth, and she still had to do her makeup!
With a nervous laugh, Amethyst walked into the bathroom. Her makeup was simple, and she really just refreshed her mascara and light pink lip gloss. Once she had finished, she grabbed her purse, slipped on a pair of simple black flats, and practically shoved Katie out the door before she closed and locked it. She said goodbye to her friend, then hopped in her car and headed over to Starbucks.

Seth got out of his car and walked into the Starbucks. He checked his phone for the time and saw there was still five minutes before he was supposed to meet Amethyst. He walked over to a table and sat down. Fidgeting with the ends of his flannels sleeves, his attention stayed on the door, almost jumping up every time it opened. The minutes seemed to pass like hours as his anxiety built up. He started to tap on the table surface, humming to himself, forcing himself to look away from the door. "A watched pot never boils, after all."

Amethyst checked her watch as soon as her car was parked. 3:05 PM, the clock said.
"Nonononono!" she whispered, rushing out of her car and up to the building.
I can't believe I'm late! Now, of all the times in my life, why do I have to be late?
She dashed inside and looked around, searching for Seth. Once she spotted him, she sighed heavily and made her way over.
"I am so sorry," she apologized when she reached him, her eyes wide. Continuing, she rambled, "I cannot believe I'm late. I'm never late. Literally, never. Like, I'm generally early to nearly everything. It's so strange that I'm late. And… Now I'm rambling…"
Seth turned to glance at the door and saw that finally Amethyst had made it. He slightly waved at her and smiled. His attention caught on the dress she was wearing. She looked really pretty, yet casual, and not gaudy like several girls looked now. "Hey, don't worry about it! Things happen that we can't control sometimes, and hey, I don't mind that you're late." He smiled at her, before saying in a quieter tone, "You look really pretty, by the way." A soft blush rose to his face and he glanced down at the table.
(I had to go back and see which dress it was. Lol. Honestly, almost all my female OCs wear that on their first date. XD)
Smiling, Amethyst sank into the seat across from Seth. Her cheeks tinted pink at the compliment.
"Oh, thanks," she said softly. "You look really nice, too."

"Anytime, and thank you." He looked back up and made eye contact with her as he spoke. He felt more comfortable when he was around her, his words smoothly flowing now that he wasn't as nervous. Moving his fringe out of his eyes, he asked, "Do you know what you want, cause I can go up and order for you, if you want?" He motioned at the counter as he spoke.
"Well… Yeah, actually, I do. Just…a caramel mocha with extra whip," Amethyst said. She laughed a bit. "I get the same thing all the time."
He laughed a little and replied, "Don't worry, I do too. I'll go get that for you." He smiled before walking up to the counter and ordering their drinks. He ordered himself a basic iced coffee. After paying he moved down to the other end of the counter where he waited for them to finish on their drinks.
(Sorry, I've got some pretty bad family issues that I have to deal with, so I don't know how much I'll be on.)
