"My bag," Kelly jerked her head to the once pure-white designer handbag on the table.

Cicada grabbed the bag, "Not getting it. What's so important about this anyway?"

"Nothing that concerns you. It's mine, and I want it back," Kelly snapped.

(Btw, is this a futuristic America or somewhere else?)

"Please," Kelly begged. "I don't care what you do to me, I just need my bag."

“Um. Why?”

"Why does it matter?" Kelly snapped.

“Well, there could be a false bottom under which you have hidden a loaded pistol. But you cant hold the thing, anyway, so….” Victoria trailed off.

Cicada rummaged through Kelly's bag. Whatever she was hiding Cicada would find it.

“Is there a false bottom?” Victoria asked, curious.

"There's not, I swear! Please, give it to me!" Kelly begged.

“But why?” Victoria asked again.

Kelly refused to tell. "It's mine, not yours."

Duke rolled his eyes. "Just let her have the damn bag. It's not like she'll be alive much longer anyway."

Kelly's eyes widened. "You're really going to kill me?!"

“I mean…. are we?” Victoria asked nervously. “That seems a bit… I mean, I sorta understand…. but… kill her? Seems rash.”

Kelly tried to bit her lip to hide the quivering. It didn't work.
