"And does that matter?" Dwayne said, walking down to them, "We're here, right now, in this time line, we can say what we want about the future, but like you said, it might not happen."
"And does that matter?" Dwayne said, walking down to them, "We're here, right now, in this time line, we can say what we want about the future, but like you said, it might not happen."
William gave him a stubborn look. "Fine, yes, but it creeps me out, so can you stop?" He crossed his arms over his chest.
“Very much,” Charlie said, gripping William’s arm. “I want to go home. Does going that way-“ she gestured behind them “-get us home?”
"I-" William glanced at the path. "I don't know Charlie, but we're going to get home. I promise."
Charlie nodded. “Okay,” she said softly.
"Home or get ourselves killed." Dwayne said, walking past the little group and into the cave.
"Dwayne!" William hissed, grabbing Charlie's hand. He followed Dwayne into the cave, dragging Charlie with him. Thatcher followed behind, an amused expression on his face. "Why are you so open to death all of a sudden?"
Charlie let William drag her along, her feet kicking up rocks and dust as she went. She was very much confused, but she trusted William, so she followed him.
"I've always been open to it, its always ahead of us anyway, why do you fear it so much? I thought you were older?"
"I am older, I'd just prefer to actually make it to my thirties." William muttered.
"I'm going to make it to my hundreds." He laughed, speeding up his pace.
William winced but said nothing. He gave him a wary look before glancing down at Charlie. "How're you holding up?"
Charlie nodded, as if to reassure herself. “Good.”
Walking further, Dwayne stopped on top of a rock that jutted of out the ground. The place was so dark, everything looked the same, black. Glancing back to the lanterns that hung high on the walls, he wished he could have brought one, or at least got one down from up there. Sighing, he turned back and began to walking again.

Charlie was lamenting the lack of light as well. She couldn’t see very well, and kept tripping over rocks and stumbling in the dark.
Everything in front of him was dark, dark and empty. The ground was the only thing telling him were the wall were, but the floor did not tell him when a crystal was ganging from the ceiling.
With his arms outstretched in front of him, he moved slowly and carefully as he made his way into the unknow.
Charlie stumbled and hit her knee, but she bit back her exclamation of pain. Nobody really cared about her anymore, or wanted her there. She trudged along. This was a terrible idea. She wanted string cheese.
"The end must be somewhere." Dwayne muttered, kicking away a stone, "At this point, I don't care if we die trying to find it."
“We can’t die!” Charlie whimpered, but a part of her was ok with it.
"Typically, we're already dead." He muttered. "We're lost, imprisoned, and have no clue how longs we've been here." Glancing back were he thought Charlie was, he said, "For me, maybe not for you, there is nothing to go home too."
“My mum has to be looking for me,” Charlie whispered into the darkness. “She has to be.”
"Well my- Oh wait," he chuckled, "I don't have any." Grinning, he turned away.
