Lillian nodded and hugged him back. She said tearfully, "Okay. I-I'll try not to."
Lillian nodded and hugged him back. She said tearfully, "Okay. I-I'll try not to."
“You matter so much to me, you deserve to be happy.” He said burrying his head into her neck.
Lillian smiled and let out a laugh as she buried her head in his chest, “Sounds fake but okay.”
“What part? That I care about you or you deserve happiness? I’m dead serious about both.”
Lillian snorted, “Neither. It’s a quote from something.”
Darren laughed, “I can only think of a meme and a song.”
Lillian smiled, “Then that’s where it’s from.
Darren sighed, “Let’s get out of here, I still owe you dinner.”
Lillian nodded and her smile grew brighter, “Yes you do.”
He took her hand and led her to the car.
(Hey Sorry I gtg.. Night)
(Same night.)
Lillian got into the car and waited for Darren. The voice had disappeared for awhile, but it was back now in full force. She pulled her knees up to her chest.
Darren got into the car and placed a hand on Lillian’s knee, “You need anything?”
Lillian shook her head. She paused before saying, “Can you just talk? Please.”
Darren smiled, “About Anything?”
Lillian nodded, “Anything.”
The voice kept screaming at her. Telling her to shut up.
“Okay, uhhh- Thanksgiving is coming up and my family heard about my condition so they’re coming early. Which is totally fine cause it my moms side and they’re really nice. I have 2 younger cousins that I used to be close with so I’m excited.”
Lillian nodded smiling. The voice got a little quieter, “That’s great.”
“Are you up for meeting them?”
Lillian paused for a second. She wasn’t sure. The voice screamed no. Her desicion was made, “Sure.”
“You’ll love them in promose,” he said excitedly, “My aunt just had a baby too so she’ll bring him with which is exciting because it’s the first time I get to meet him. Other than pictures of course,” he smiled trying to come up with more to say.
Lillian awed, “I love babies! They’re so cute and tiny and innocent.”
Darren smiled, “I know right! I’m stocked!” He said as they pulled up in front of a restaurant.
Lillian smiled at him. She said quietly, “Thanks for talking. I can’t wait to meet them.”
Darren smiled, “Anytime,”
Lillian stepped out of the car. The voice, while there, was much quieter than before.
Darren got out of the car and walked in where he and Lillian were seated quickly. Darren didn’t bother with a menu, he wasn’t going to eat, this was for Lillian.
Lillian looked at the menu before glancing up at Darren, "You better get something. I'm not letting you starve yourself."
“I’m not hungry,” he Looked up at Lillian.
(sniff)
(Sorry.)
Lillian stared at him, "When was the last time you ate?"
