Lillian smiled as she wrapped her arms around him and snuggled up to him.

"Sorry I freaked out," He frowned.

Lillian nodded, "It's fine. I know you're going through a rough spot. Just let me know if we ever need to stop okay?"

Darren nodded and kissed her on the forehead, "Thanks,"

Lillian smiled and nuzzled her face against him, "No problem."

"You won't stop loving me when I look like an anorexic skeleton will you?" He laughed a little.

Lillian smiled, "Of course not."

"Oh, that's good." He smiled, "Remeber our first date?"

Lillian smiled fondly, "Yeah. It was great."

"That was the perfect day," He laughed, "I still wish I could live it forever."

Lillian laughed, "Me too."

He hugged her tighter, "My plan that day was to make you forget about your mom, I had never even met her, not until I dropped you off after. Now she's going away. It seems surreal."

Lillian leaned into him, "It really does. Thank you for doing that. For everything you've done."

"I did it for you," He smiled, as his door creaked open a little and Sydney popped her head through curiously.

Lillian spotted Sydney, "Hey look who wants in on the cuddles."

Darren laughed, "Come on stupid, get up here." The dog leaped onto the bed and licked Darren's face before laying down and resting her head in his lap.

Lillian laughed, "Are you trying to steal my boyfriend?"

The dog perked her ears up and licked Lillian's hand before snuggling back into Darren.

Lillian smiled at Darren, "I think she's trying to take you from me."

"I don't know if I can resist it either! Look at her, she's adorable." He laughed and patted Sydney on the head. He looked back at Lillian, "But you're the most gorgeous person I know, so I think you win," he said kissing Lillian.

Lillian blushed slightly. She kissed him back, "And you're the most handsome person I know."

"I find that hard to believe." He laughed, "I know many people in my immediate group of friends who are far better looking than me."

Lillian nuzzled her face into his shoulder, "Nope. You're the best looking."

"mmmm, fine, I'll trust you this time." he said seeming to be having a staring contest with his dog.

Lillian looked between Sydney and Darren. She laughed, "Staring contest?"

"Yeah, she's really good at them too." Darren laughed his eyes starting to water. Suddenly the dog sneezed and Darren cheered triumphantly. "I won!"

Lillian let out a loud chuckle, "And now for your prize."

She kissed him.

Darren wrapped a hand around her neck pulling her in closer.

Lillian let out a quiet noise as she deepened the kiss.

Sydney heard the noise and stood up to pawed at Darren as if he was hurting Lillian. Why are the humans eating each other?
