No one could tell if his episode was done, but he reached a hand out and cupped Lillian’s face leaving blood on her cheek. “I’m done,” he whispered.

Lillian nodded and wrapped her arms around Darren. She was on the verge of sobbing.

He remained stiff until the episode ended seconds later and he hugged her back. “Sorry,”

Lillian sobbed, "It's fine. I'm fine. You're fine. She's not fine, but that's fine."

Darren looked at his hands and his breathing sped up. “Oh my god.”

Lillian let out a slight laugh and said under her breath, "Forgot about that."

“Forget abo- I’m gonna get arrested! Is she okay?” He said turning around.

Lillian didn't dare look at her mother. She would start panicking again, "I-I don't know. She passed out."

“Call an ambulance,” He said trying to wake her mother up.

Lillian nodded and she pulled out a phone. She called the ambulance and waited for them to arrive.

Darren continued to try and wake her up while wiping blood from her face.

The EMS arrived and took her mother to the hospital. They offered Lillian to ride in the ambulance with her, she denied profusely.

Darren didn’t go either and they didn’t ask what happened. It looked like he had blood on his hands because he was helping her.

Lillian walked up to Darren. She was started crying, "I'm scared."

He hugged her starting to cry himself. “I am so sorry, I didn’t mean to,”

Lillian nodded and hugged him back, "I know. I-Is it bad that I'm happy you did?"

“A little,” He laughed through tears.

Lillian laughed slightly as she buried her face into Darren's chest. Avoiding the stares of their fellow classmates.

“I’m definitely getting suspended,” he said watching the principal walking toward them.

Lillian sighed, she didn't want to let go. She felt safe here after her mother had said… Yeah. She said softly, "Maybe if I explain the situation?"

“Maybe. I can handle a suspension though”

Lillian nodded and let out the breath she had been holding. She held Darren tighter.

“Can I see you two in my office?” The principal asked. Darren nodded and followed him taking Lillian by the hand.

Lillian was holding in her anxiety. She was an actor, it couldn't be that hard. Right? Yet her legs couldn't stop shaking.

They arrived and sat down. “So what happened? You aren’t in trouble I just need to know the situation. “ Darren’s leg bounced restlessly.

Lillian took a deep breath. She was still shaking and opened her mouth to explain. All that came out was a slight whimper before she sank into her seat. She couldn't tell a total stranger.
