“Maybe we should keep you out of stressful situations for a while, just until you figure out how to control your abilities,” Vaughn said in a gentle tone.
“Maybe we should keep you out of stressful situations for a while, just until you figure out how to control your abilities,” Vaughn said in a gentle tone.
"I'm fine," Kaz grumbled, fixing his gaze on his cup of water. He drank the rest of it, setting it on the bedside table grumpily as he folded his arms. "I just…It was just Kaon. I'm fine," he insisted
“I’m just trying to look out for you, Kaz,” Vaughn said, lips twitching down into a faint frown. He stood back up straight, arms loosely folding across his chest as he looked down at Kaz.
"I'll tell you what you can do to look after me," Kaz began, squinting up at Vaughn as he tried to see him without letting too much of the room's light hit his eyes. "You can get over here and cuddle me," he huffed, flipping the blankets back and gesturing to the bed next to him
(Hey! I'm actually here, btw Jules in in ya'lls doorway asking what the hell is going on, lol)
(Hi, and yeah Kaz is a little loopy and doesn’t really know Tenor and Jules are there)
“What about Tenor? I sent the guy into the bathroom to get himself cleaned up. What are we supposed to do with him? He obviously doesn’t want to go back to his room,” Vaughn said, brow furrowed. God, it was so hard to say no to Kaz.
(Lol, And Jules is being dead silent bc of all the "noise")
“Fuckin’…I dunno. Shove him in a corner somewhere?” Kaz suggested tiredly. “I mean I don’t wanna be a dick and all, but I’m tired and tired of all the charity cases,” he grumbled. Normally he wouldn't mind helping people, but he was getting a little sick of playing nursemaid
'Would you all just shut up! Stop complaining about being a damn nursemaid! Shut up, shut up, shut up!" She screamed the last bit, differentiating from the yell of her previous words. "Just..shut up." she said at a normal voice level, you're hurting my head. And I'll try to get, Tenor, did you say it was, back to our room, I'll get him cleaned up. I'll do it, if you just..shut up." She said the last bit with a defeated tone with her hands pressed over her ears.
Kaz’s eyes widened at the sudden outburst from the door. Wonderful. More people to make his head throb. “Right, got it, just no more screaming. I’ve got a pissy demon in my brain to do that for you.”
The name came to her, "Kaon," she hesitated, "right? You've said that name before..right?" She looked over at him, eyes wide. 'Right?"
“That’s not his name,” Vaughn grumbled, eyes narrowing at the woman. He was generally very polite with women, but he didn’t like that name.
“Nnnope. Actually Kaz, Kaon’s m’ secondary personality who, when not taking over my body, likes to scream in my brain and occasionally make me hallucinate him into existence,” Kaz answered, flopping back against the pillows in an attempt to lessen his throbbing headache
'I'm sorry..I- I didn't- sorry." She looked over at the guy talking to her, he looked dangerous, Control or be controlled. She widened her eyes, flicked her eyelashes and looked him in the eye. "I'm," she paused for affect, "I'm sorry.." She trailed off, letting her words sink in. 'I didn't know how much you didn't like it."
“Used to it. S’ what my dad calls me,” Kaz muttered, waving a hand in the air absently as he spoke
"What? But isn't your name Kaz? Her head was exploding again, she glared over at the other boy, Vaughn, who was glaring at her as well, He doesn't like me.
“Long, overcomplicated story revolving around hilariously impossible daddy issues and my aunt being a greedy bitch,” Kaz muttered before rolling onto his side and pulling a pillow over his head
(Gtg!! Sorry!)
(It’s all good, seeyah!)
Vaughn ran a hand over his face, a concerned glint in his eyes as he looked at Kaz. “Isn’t there a better time to chat about this? Kaz needs his rest, he just passed out for Christsake.”
“Sleep’d be great, actually. Especially since I just shattered all the lights,” Kaz muttered beneath his pillow
“Go to sleep then, baby,” Vaughn murmured, turning to Kaz. He ran a hand over Kaz’s shoulder, massaging at him gently.
Kaz let out a soft sigh, the massaging feeling good on his aching body. His arthritis was beginning to kick in again, causing dull pain to grow in his joints and work its way into his muscle. He was tired, even if he didn’t like the idea of sleeping around strangers
Vaughn sat on the edge of the bed, continuing to rub gently at Kaz. He remembered what Kaz had told him previously about his constant aching, so he was hoping that the massaging would help him.
“Thanks for the massage. Kicks arthritis ass,” Kaz mumbled from beneath his pillows, relaxing slightly into Vaughn’s touch. He would never admit that he loved the affection so much. He had a little dignity left
“Oh, it does? You’ll have to tell me when the arthritis gets bad, and I can do this. I’m sure it would be much better for you than to just take pain medication,” Vaughn murmured, working his fingers into Kaz’s shoulders.
“Guess you’re right. I’m pretty sure I killed my liver with painkillers already, but this definitely feels nice,” Kaz mumbled. He could feel his eyelids getting heavy, but he did his best to stay awake. He still didn’t want to fall asleep surrounded by strangers
“Yeah, you should probably cut back on that stuff,” Vaughn hummed, squeezing the tense muscles with his hands softly. He shifted his hands a bit lower to rub slowly at Kaz’s shoulder blades.
“Eh. All die anyways, why not speed up the process,” Kaz mumbled, barely audible as he slumped back against the bed. He loved the attention, really. It made him feel wanted again
“That’s not funny,” Vaughn grumbled, giving Kaz’s sides a squeeze. He moved his hands down to rub Kaz’s lower back, fingers working on loosening the muscles.
