Kaz turned onto his side, hugging a pillow to his chest as he stared at the wall. His mind was running rampant now, providing him with idea after idea, each more horrible than the last. Vaughn leaving, Vaughn kicking him out, hurting Vaughn again. He scowled at the wall, trying to will the ideas away
Vaughn finished with his cut, and it was no longer bleeding by that point. He walked back into the bedroom and got in the bed behind Kaz. He laued next to him, pulling Kaz’s back against his chest.
Kaz felt himself relax noticeably as Vaughn laid down next to him. He was fine, Vaughn was back, he was alright. He made a conscious attempt at telling his brain to shut up, pressing himself a little further into Vaughn's chest as he let his eyes close
(Sorry I've been offline for so long)
Jules woke up to noise, lots of noise. She wrapped her hands around her head trying to block out the sound, she couldn't. She screamed, trying to cover up the noise with her own. It didn't work. Voices, barely distinct. Kaz? No. her mind came to a name: Kaon. Who the hell was that? Whoever he was, he was horrifying, why was no one telling him to shut up? Wait, Kaz and.. Vaughn. The name came to her. Do I know him? Aliana. I don't know her. She looked around the room. No one was there. She screamed again, this time even louder than the last. The voices were quite for a moment before coming back at full volume. She whispered, "help", before siting on the floor and curling her legs up to her chest.
Vaughn noticed how tense Kaz seemed to be and he slipped his arms around Kaz’s waist, tugging him right against him. “Is something wrong? Or is it the same thing?” He asked in a soft, gentle tone. His head tilted down to press light kisses to the side of Kaz’s neck in a comforting manner.
“Kinda the same thing. But I’ll be fine, I’m getting better,” Kaz mumbled tiredly, a hand moving to cover one of the ones wrapped around his waist gently
~flashback~
Waking up. Fear. Rank. Overwhelming. Tenor is worried. Pills. Thrashing against the hands. Held down. Warmth against his mouth. Biting down. Tearing. Tearing. Rust. Swallowing Pills. Needle. Needle. Thrashing. Fear. Pain. Blissed Darkness. Bissed Sleep.
Pain. White hot. Stay strong boy, we're here. Tears. Falling down Tenors face. It's okay. We won't leave you. Back arching in pain or fear. Breathe, Tenor, please. Blissed Sleep.
~end flashback~
Entering the room. Others there. Tenor sits quietly. Always quietly. Noise gets him punished. Noise could get him killed. Tenor looks around. Change in the others Change in him.
The feeling of Peace.
(he is is the boys room now)
(deepest apologies for not being on recently, life happened)
(Life happens man, it’s all good)
Kaz looked up at the sound of someone walking into the room. It was easier to tell when someone was around now. Everyone seemed to have a faint purple outline now, shimmering and twisting and visible through the walls
Vaughn heard a small creak of the door opening. He let go of Kaz and sat up straight, eyes flicking around until he saw a boy sitting curled up on the floor. How long had he been there? It couldn’t have been long. He gave Kaz a wary look, brows furrowed and his lips pressed together.
Kaz sat up as well, squinting at the newcomer on the floor. They would have to figure out how to trip the lock in the door to keep people from randomly showing up in their room. "Hello?" he asked quietly
Noise, so much noise. Maybe I should make more. She screamed, loudly. She began hitting her head, trying to disrupt the flow of soundwaves to her brain. She couldn't, they were inside her brain. She paused to take a breath, "Help!" She screamed over and over again. The noise was coming from a certain place, maybe they can help. She stood up, and braced herself on the wall, Ok, standing up, not a good idea. She couldn't move. The voices were messing with her brain. I can't move, I can't move, I can't move, I can't move, I can't move! "Help!" She yelled, this time with intent. "Help!"
(sorry for the trash response, I woke up an hour ago and am still a little groggy)
(Tenor has nicknames for them all, as he is hard pressed to remember things
Kaz - Dae/Daemon
Vaughn - Proct/Protector
Jules - Fir/Flame)
Tenor looks up. Eyes blue. Always blue. Smiling, mouth still stained with rust. Chin stained with new rust. Teeth stained with rust.
(Rust is his word for blood, he killed a guy earlier by tearing out his jugular with his teeth, and in his flashback he took a chunk out of a guys arm)
(ye. and yeah I wouldn't blame him for having a nickname for Kaz what with his secondary personality and all)
Kaz gave Tenor a look, half confused and half wary. Why was he covered in so much blood? It might not be good to keep someone that might be dangerous in their room. "You okay, man?" he asked tenatively
(Love the nickname, lol.)
(Sorry!! I gtg, I have a party thing that I have to set up/get ready for!!)
Tenor looks at Dae. Rust coated. Rust covered. Rust stained. Speak up boy, else e' won' ear you. "No." Sweet. Simple. Not like him. Tenor isn't sweet. Tenor tastes Rust still.
"Can we…help you?" Kaz asked slowly, swinging his legs over the bed as he felt his body tense warily. Something felt like it was racing through his veins, something that sparked and crackled and made his body shake ever so slightly. Was it the mutation? He guessed it might be
Shaking his head as if to clear it. Shaking his head to say no. Smiling. Thinking clearly. "We're gonna be okay now. I can feel it." Lightning in him. In his very Rust and Marrow.
"Okay…" Kaz says slowly, standing up as he felt the motion cause more of the energy in his nerves racing. He tells it to stop, and after a small while it calms. He indulges it a little, drumming his fingers along his thigh as he takes slow steps towards Tenor. "It's Tenor, right?" he asks carefully
Aliana watched in silence as the two met. She didn't see this, weird. Aliana hummed under her breath as her head throbbed. She wished it would stop.
Nodding. Grinning. When Dae speaks the name it rings through him. Settles near his chest. Tenor smiles happily.
"You need help getting cleaned up or something?" Kaz asks warily, trying to be as non-threatening as possible. The last thing he needs is for Tenor to lash out
Smile fading. "Am I dirty?" He isn't supposed to be dirty. Being dirty is bad. It means that they show him what dirty really is. Fear. Wide eyes. Blue eyes. Fear.
"Well, you've got a little…a lot of blood on you, but it's not the end of the world or anything. We could probably help you find a shower or something," Kaz offers, keeping his tone quiet so as not to upset Tenor
“I think I saw a door marked ‘showers’ down the hall,” Vaughn spoke up, standing nearby with a wary gaze. He wasn’t sure who’s blood that was, but it hinted that Tenor could cause some damage.
Tears. Rolling along Rust stained cheeks. "I'm sorry Dae." Voice fading as he gets to the end. "I'm sorry." Tenor is looping. Spiraling down and down.
"Dae?" Kaz asked confusedly, every motion sending more of the strange electric feeling to jolt through him. It felt like a caffeine high, but so much stronger, only intensified by every move, every pang of anxiety. He wanted to come down, but didn't know how other than to tap his foot and use some of the energy building up. "Let's just get you to the showers and then back to your room, okay buddy?" he says quickly
Tenor looks at Dae. Blue eyes. A flash of him sitting down. Confusion. Blinking. Cocking his head to the side. Realization. Tenor wonders if he has gone crazy. Hush your thoughts boy, thinking hard enough to kill ya'. Tiredness in his marrow.
(Please feel free to ask for clarification if you don't understand what happens in my turns)
