"You okay?" he said letting go of her and slowly getting up.

(Hi.)

Lillian shook her head, "Can you hug me again?"

Darren smiled, "Of course," he said, moving back in and wrapping his arms around her. "What's wrong?"

"N-nightmare," Lillian said leaning into him, "A really bad nightmare."

He held her tighter, "You wanna talk about it?"

Lillian shook her head, "N-not right now. Later?"

"Yeah, that's fine," He said calmly, kissing her head.

Lillian wrapped her arms around him, "Thank you."

"We have to get ready to go soon," He whispered.

Lillian sighed, "I-I know. I-I want to get my stuff, f-from home before we get to school. Is that o-okay?"

"Yeah. What stuff?"

"J-just some clothes. My D&D papers," Lillian said out loud, Everything she hasn't already burned.

"Okay. We can do that. Do you need me to come in with you?"

Lillian nodded, "Th-that would be nice. You don't have to though."

"I'm gonna go get ready then we can go okay?" Darren said giving her one last hug.

Lillian smiled and nodded her head, "Okay."

Darren got up and got dressed. He found his hat and waited at the door for Lillian.

Lillian took a deep breath before walking towards the door. She said quietly, "Let's go."

Darren nodded and got in the car. They got to Lillian's house and Darren got out of the car. "You coming?"

Lillian took a shaky breath as she got out of the car, "Yeah."

She walked up to the door and froze as she put her hand on the doorknob.

"It's okay," Darren whispered, "I'm coming with you, I won't let anything happen."

(Sorry. I had to go. I'll be back around 8:30)

Lillian nodded and opened the door.

Darren followed her inside with a protective stance. He meant it when he said he wasn't going to let anything happen to her.
