Adeline lay on her back at the bottom of the pond, staring out its glassy surface. Though the pond was small, it was VERY deep, but very clear too. She sighed and decided to find some turtles to mess with. Bingo! she thought when she found four of them swimming by each other. Just as she went to mess with them, something caught her eye. A reddish purple\black stone. She swam over to grab it, but when her fingers brushed it, something pulsed, sending electricity through her and sending her sailing. She even flew out of the water, and landed on the rocky bank with a thud. "Ow…" she groaned. ( Guys I think this stone needs to fit in with all our stories! Anyone else agree? )

Jackie walks out of the coffee shop, a little disappointed. She heads towards the pond and sees Adeline laying there rubbing her head. "Adeline? is that you? What happened?"

Adeline leaps to her feet, but then staggers a bit. SHOOT! it's Jackie… "I was… exploring. And I went for a swim… in the freezing cold… because it's uh, exhilarating? Yeah. And then… an… eel came after… me?" she said, then hung her head when she realized her story was TOTALLY stupid.

Jackie barely believes her. "An…eel?"

Adeline sighs. "I can breathe under water and I found a magical rock that electrocuted me and shot me onto land."

John is just standing there in slight shock as to what he just witnessed and shook his head in disbelief. Not really believing what Nym said John kneels next to the couch and takes Nyms hands in his "Nym… Don't lie to me."

Jackie, slightly confused says, "Hey, if you want I can go retrieve it for you!"

Nym's eyes slowly open and she flinches away from him. She then realises that it's only John. slowly wiping tears from her face so looks at him "I'm so sorry to worry you. I'm fine. It's okay."

John frowns and reaches over and wipes a tear of Nyms cheek and sighs "That was quite jarring….and it looked like it hurt Nym. I care about you and I don't want you to hide something from me …because I can help you if you need it Nym.

She looked at him and smiled weakly "I'm alright, I promise" she held out her pinky

John wraps his right pinky around her pinky and stares straight at Nyms face with a serious expression "Okay…..But please know that I would do anything to make sure you are okay. I dont want anyone around me to get hurt or fail to tell me something is wrong Nym."

Adeline narrowed her eyes. "I don't think you should go down there," she said. "I'll try again." she dove into the water, slightly in shock over all the events. Jackie believed her? She found the stone again, and for some reason she picked it up easily this time. Coming to the surface she held it up so Jackie could see. "Look familiar?" She questioned.

"Promise." She said smiling at him, then she quickly averted his powerful gaze and mumbled "What are you doing to me?"

John tilts his head not quite hearing what Nym mumbled and leans in closer and questions "What was that? I didn't quite catch what you said Nym."

Nym turned bright red and sat up too quickly "Nothing." Her head fell into her hands "Ugh, head rush." She looked up at him slowly "Do you have my jeep? or somewhere to be? Not trying to sound rude."

John shakes his head and thinks for a long moment "No I don't have your jeep, and yes I have somewhere to be but that will be later on today. I told jackie that I would spend some time with her, she looked so tired and weary when I seen her."

Nym pursed her lips "You left Raimond?!" She was a little irritated "Is it that girl you recently met? Gib mir bitte deine Hand." She held out her hand for his

John holds out his hand towards her and nods as he does so "Yes it is the girl I met recently, it was quite funny how we met too.And I'm sorry for leaving Raimond? " John chuckles softly at the odd name but shrugs it off

"I already know how you meet. She came to my house looking for you." She grabbed his hand and closed her eyes "Hope you don't mind invasion of privacy, but I want to show you something. Not to keep you from her, but you should know." without waiting for a legitimate response she picks through his memories and finds each face she's made at him and she chuckled "I think she's quite found of you, but that's none of my business." she automatically stops as if her sense of morale had just returned "Damn, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to… I just… I need to go get Raimond." She stood up and walked up the stairs to her room and rummaged through some drawers in her dresser in a dazed state, she looked hypnotized

John smiles as she uses her powers not at all offended when Nym starts to use it then frowns when Nym jumps up and walks away "Hey , wait Nym" John follows her too her room but refuses to step in and stands in the doorway
