Rowan shrugged, still slightly uncomfortable. "It is what it is. Let's just get Kodiak and go home." She walked over to Yuki, wearing a look of tired determination.

Yuki tried the door. It was locked. Fine then. Guess I’ll have to break it. Yuki twisted the lock the opposite way using a ton of strength. The lock snapped and broke.

Rowan trailed behind her, quickly disappearing into the darkness of the room. "Kodiak?" She called out frantically, rushing over to the bars.

(Yeah. If Yuki is there you’d better bet on a fight lol.)
Yuki frantically searched for Kodiak. “Yell if you’re still alive!” Yuki was worried that Kodiak was dead.

"Yuki!! What the hell are you doing?" Kodiak replied, glancing out from his cell. "Get out of here!!"

"Kodiak! You're okay!" Rowan attempted to squeeze in between the bars, eventually giving up and withdrawing. "Bend the bars, Yuki." She commanded, her eyes expression turning serious.

"No!! Guys, stop!!" Kodiak backed away from them, tears springing up in his eyes. "You need to leave. Like, now."

"Kodiak we're not leaving you. Just save us the sacrificial crap speech until after we bust you out." She gave him an almost playful smirk before turning to Yuki. "Go ahead." She nodded, stepping back.

Kodiak backed away a few more steps until he was against his cot, which he fell back onto and crawled into the far corner, in the dark and as far away from them as possible. "Don't… You don't understand…"

"Kodiak? Hey, come on. It's okay. Did they do something to you?" Rowan bit her lip with concern, the excitement fading out of her voice. She did her best to soothe him.

"N-no, you don't get it… I…"

"Kodiak everything is going to be okay." Rowan came closer, worried again.

“Just let me break you out!” Yuki looked like she was about the kill someone. “Stop feeling sorry for yourself and let me help you!” Rage showed in her eyes. She wasn’t going to give up Kodiak’s life.

"Yuki! He's fragile! Don't yell at him." Rowan scolded. "Just bend the bars so I can squeeze inside. Once I calm him down we can get him out." Rowan gripped onto the bars tightly, her knuckles turning white. Oh god, Kodiak… What've they done to you?

Yuki grabbed the bars and slowly pulled them apart. She ignored the sweat dripping from her forehead and there was still fire in her eyes. “Get out of here Kodiak!”

(would now be a bad time to say I work all day today? :P)
"No!! I can't! You don't understand, I still have to-"
Do what, Kodiak?
There's nothing left for you here.

"I'm not going."

“I don’t get it! I thought you valued your life!”, Yuki shouted into the darkness. “We’re trying to save you, so unless you want to die too then come with us!”

Rowan squeezed through the bars that Yuki had pulled apart and tackled Kodiak into a hug. "Yuki and I need you. You have to come home, Kodiak." She pleaded.

"Where is home anymore?" Kodiak responded, sobbing. "What's the point? Everything we do will result in more oppression, more loss, and more risk. It's too much to deal with anymore!"
