Piper was silent as she slid a little in her seat. Cece wasn't in the classroom. Could something have happened to her? She asked herself. Nah, she's probably fine. Or not…………..

Ben smirked, and looked at the front of the class. He understood this girls hesitance to talk to him. He could be kind of weird and straight-forward sometimes.

Aaron rushed into class a little late, trying to sneak to his seat and not be noticed. His locker had been jammed and it took him five minutes to get it open.

Aaron recognized the boy next to him, but he couldn't remember his name to save his life. He nodded at him, as if saying hello.

Miss Melody walked up to the windows and pulled down the shades, then turned out the lights, making the room go dark. "I made the ceiling a replica of the night sky. Today we're going to study the constellations." she said, handing the students fake telescopes made of paper towel rolls and plastic lenses. "These are for fun, they don't actually do anything. You can put your name on them and decorate them as you please."

Aaron recognized the boy next to him, but he couldn't remember his name to save his life. He nodded at him, as if saying hello.

Pietro waved at the boy who’d sat next to him. “Pietro,” he said, offering a hand.

He took his hand and shook it. "I'm Aaron." He took the fake telescope Miss Melody had placed on his desk and chuckled.

"Now who can name this constellation?" she asked, pointing to her replica of Orion's belt. Not many people knew astrology, but the one wouldn't be to hard.

Lolita bit her lip. Just do it. She raised her hand.

"Yes, um…. Lolita?" Miss Melody asked, hastily checking the seating chart.

"Orien's- Orien's Belt," Lolita answered shakily. Good gosh girl! Pull yourself together.

"Correct! Now who knows…." she said, moving her pointer, "Which star this is?" she asked. It was Mars, so that was technically a trick question, but she wanted to mess with her students so who cared?

He took his hand and shook it. "I'm Aaron." He took the fake telescope Miss Melody had placed on his desk and chuckled.

“Good to meet you. I guess I’ll actually know my parter’s name this year…” Pietro joked.

"It's not a star! It's MARS!" Heather said. (Btw she is a nerd lol)

"That sounds like a story I'll want to hear." Aaron joked.

Heather smiled and looked around at everyone.

Piper stared curiously at her fake telescope with a raised eyebrow. Then she looked up at the board. How old are we, eight? She wondered silently. Her dad worked at an observatory, so she was pretty much an expert at anything referring to the night sky.

"Okay, now can everyone point out five constellations and or stars that have not been mentioned yet?"

Lolita hadn't touched her telescope. She sat with her head down after answering the question, practicing making her legs disappear.

"Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and that's five right?" Piper said as she pointed them out.
