(Aghhh sorry, I've been baking.)
Aurelius sat up at the bar and ordered stew and a beer. He paid some of his money to the bartender, who was not exactly talkative, but very attentive and quick to set him up with a drink.

@Norepinephrinxx

(Yum I love baking)
Charlie ordered bread and beer and handed the man his money. He got his drink quickly after Aurelius and waited for the food

(Yeah, I made brownies. I'm hanging out with my friends tomorrow, and I'm the grandma friend who always brings baked goods when we do something.)
Aurelius sipped on his drink and watched the bartender duck into the kitchen for a moment. He heard him say something indistinct to whoever was back there, then he came back out and attended to another customer.
"I don't see much of a future ahead," Aurelius murmured, speaking somewhat down into his mug.
His eyes were fixed on nothing in particular, but he was staring intensely.

@Norepinephrinxx

"Honestly me neither. I can't believe it's all gone" He said taking a drink from his beer "It's very surreal but we'll make it somewhere"

Aurelius nodded. "Yeah. Well, we have each other. We've got Nox and Jekyll. At least we're not completely alone in the world. If it weren't for the dragons, we could just slip into normal society, fade into the background… and yet I cannot bear the thought of leaving Nox behind. We're too close."

Aurelius, after having finished his food and his drink, felt a lot more relaxed and less faint than he had been. He played around with his spoon, still gazing emptily upon the wall behind the bar.

Jun slowly nodded his massive head in response. The spines along his back had lowered, if only slightly. He seemed a bit more relaxed again, but barely. His large form remained somewhat tense, tail sweeping one way, then the other. His yellow eyes blinked, the pupils becoming a bit rounder.
The large beast remained sitting on his haunches, towering over both. His gaze shifted towards Cain. The man was uneasy, sweating. As Jun watched, a frown appeared on his muzzle.
~Such an unfortunate series of events…seems the young ones who are always left to suffer and pick up the pieces as the old fade into dust, to be forgotten~.
Small streams of smoke continued to rise from Jun's nostrils, rumbling softly ~Cain and I often traveled, though he wanted to get as far away as possible from his past…but even now it continues to torment him~.
The red dragon grimaced. He hadn't been in the area at the time. He had only come for he was curious, and when he arrived, he found a man in rags, laying in the midst of a burning village at an alter. Charred remains littered the ground, black smoke clouding the blue sky above.
Jun shook his head. Those thoughts would not help. His yellow eyes stared back downwards. He shifted his weight, causing the ground to seemingly shake ever so slightly.

@ShadeStar

Jade looked to the man sympathetically. She knew the feeling of running from the past. Before the village, she had gotten into a lot of trouble with her alchemy. Then Dawn came along and her life got instantly better and worse.

Dawn's head curled around her tail, ~It is sad that the young ones must pick up our elders mistakes. And our past has a way of coming back. But that is the way of the world.

Jade looked to Dawn, "When did you get so wise?"

Dawn snorted smoke bellowed out of her nostrils, ~When I met you.

(Cool, I think we need to go ahead and bring the whole group together soon, whenever plot allows, and I reopened the RP, as we only have a total of 4 people active on this RP, and a couple more might keep it active)
