Victoria rolled over, sand legit everywhere. Her arm was throbbing, and she’d lost a lot of blood. She noticed a looming shape in the distance, and she crawled towards it desperately. People… please let there be people…. friendly people… The shape was a ship. The ship was empty, but it was clear that it was owned and had just been vacated: half-eaten plates and half-full water glasses sat on a round table in the path to the driver’s seats in front. “Oh, thank the gods!” Victoria grabbed a water glass with her good arm and started chugging it, draining the cup in an instant. “Medical…” she murmured. “I need medical. And a shower.”
